We used about six sets of these in our bushes at the front of our house. Loved them. Added a little extra magic at halloween.

Very good look
from Lexington KY
I have two sets of this product (six "peepers".)Replaced incandescent flasher bulb with LED white "nightlight" type.Cut wiring apart to free each peeper. Attached weather resistant connectors and extended with SJT wire.Connected to AC output Light-O-Rama controller so the eyes would realistically blink.Basically, modded the electric and used the good plastic casting as-is. Cheap and effective.Looks good in outdoor greenery and such. Weather does not bother the product. Two suggestions:Make a model with LED bulb (much less heat) to go inside a pumpkin.Make a premium model with LED and an integrated 4-bit microcontroller to produce a realistic "eye-blink."
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Fun product - with limitations
I wish I could give a 3.5 star review. I couldn't use them for what I originally intended them for--to hang over my garage door. But I loved them where they eventually ended up. Cons:-The cables between the pairs of eyes are ridiculously short. You need to plan on putting these things in a tight cluster. You cannot space them out. -The blinking effect must work based on heat. The bulbs reach a certain temperature, then turn off, then turn on again until they get hot (thus creating the blinking. When you first plug them in outside, or when they first turn on if they are on a timer, the inevitably cold October air causes the bulbs to take awhile to warm up. They don't flash at all at first, and then one might start flashing, and eventually they all catch up and establish a bit of a pattern. It wasn't a huge deal for me overall, but it was annoying. -One of the hooks on the eyes is already broken. This isn't a super high quality product. It's an okay quality product.Pros:I have a couple of short, kind of grassy bushes in my flower bed. I put the eyeballs hidden in the bushes for a Cousin It-like effect. It was very comical, and our Halloween visitors loved it! Overall this is a fun product. Buyers should be aware of its limitations before purchasing it, but despite these limitations, I did enjoy having these as part of my Halloween decor.

Very clever Halloween decoration
hid them in the bushes..even got compliments from the kids on Halloween
Great addition to the bush(es)
First off, on the box it does say for outdoor use, and it did last outdoors for a Halloween season. This makes it able to include your yard bushes or other large yard plants into Halloween scenery. I'm definitely amazed at how durable these were for weather in the fall season. And if a light goes out, there's an insert in the box to order more bulbs.

I would buy this product again
Have 4 sees already just replaced 1 not working. Can't replace bulbs so bought this set. Great display in my tree

I like these lights and will buy more of them next year but hope they put longer cords between the eyes so they don't have to hang so close together. I'm not a fan of flashing lights so I replaced the bulbs with night light bulbs and these work well.
Creepy in our windows!

We had an upstairs window that was hard to decorate. These peepers worked well placed on the inside of the window looking out. Wonderfully creepy! I will buy more for our other front windows.

great, reliable outdoor addition
from Brewer, Maine
Have four sets of these now; started with one! Can pivot the faces of the eyes 360 degrees to change presentation. Because the bug eyes are front heavy, the 'connectors' to attach these to branches allow the eyes to droop toward the ground. So, I wound bare copper house wiring lengths to the wiring out the back of the bulb housing with a 'tail' left long enough to be used to attach to twigs and branches and bend to ensure the eyes faces outward the way I wanted. The only other issue I have with these is too short wiring between each of the three eyes and the next one. I'd like them spaced farther apart. My original unit had 4 feet between and 5 to the plug; my three newer ones have only 2.5 feet between each and to the plug. I'd also like a spare bulb.... Need one now - but that's been over 10 years since first purchase. Not bad.

About Me Value Oriented
This is a great prop for outdoors in bushes or trees; the eyes themselves are very good but more space is needed between each pair, and the cord length at the end with the plug needs to be longer. The little clips just fall off but they can be fastened with twist ties. They look really cool in the hedges! Bought 2 sets and will be ordering 2 more; can't beat the price. Delivered quickly with regular shipping.

Great to decorate our yard for Halloween. Each set of eyeballs has a hook in order to hang. We hung ours in a tree at the edge of our yard. The lights are good quality and sturdy, but there is not much cord between the eye ball sets so you have to place the fairly close together. Overall they are very fun and add a unique element to Halloween decor

About Me Frequent Host
I bought this set of decorations a couple years back and hung them in the bushes near my front porch. They light up well and are easily seen from a relatively far distance, which is nice. They're a bit tricky to hang at times, but I've gotten the trick of it after doing it for a while now. I've had several kids come up to inspect them and gotten several compliments on them as well. They're nothing elaborate, but they do add a deal of mystery to an already creepy area, and I would recommend them to anyone who just wants something fun to put out.

Jeepers Creepers, I Love Them Eyes!
By Haunted Hedges
from Renton, WA
"Pros" first; These looked great! Very nice detail, NOT just cheap painted-on designs on a Ping Pong ball like some others I have seen. The materials the eyes are made with seem VERY durable. They're going to be a great addition to our yard décor for Halloween this year, and I can't wait to put them in the hedges outside our house.I read some of the reviews in advance, so I was prepared for the "cons"; the wiring is a little short between sets of eyes, but nothing I can't work with. The plastic hooks to hold them in place do seem a little flimsy, but they're a lot more flexible than the other reviews led me to believe. Be sure to purchase some additional extension cords (preferably black or dark green) if you plan on running them through a hedge, and buy more than one set if you need more coverage. They look great, so it's totally worth it.All in all, a great product, just handle them with care. I hope they redesign them with longer wiring between sets of eyes, but I love them and it's not enough to dock them a star.

These lights are verry cool, yet when left on for long pierods of time they get very hot. Also, the hooks on the top of the eyes broke off due to flimsy plastic. Other than that it is very cool, and a great addition to my yard!

A small addition to a yard full of decorations

I put these in my bushes in my front yard every year. I started with one strand and now have three. They are fabulous. The blink in different sequences so they look just like eyes. Also the eyelids are adustable so they can look a little different. The "kids"(of all ages) that come trick or treating always comment on them. My family loves them. The only slight problem with them is they don't hook into other plugs very well becasue of the length of cord and the ends of the plug so they have to have their own extension cord instead of hooking them to other lit decorations.
I LOVE these spooky eyes !We bought a set to fit our ''creepy garden'' themed Halloween decor. We bought the Zombie Flamingo, Zombie Gnome and Flying Gost. These set of sppoky eyes are versatile and easy to use. VERY GOOD quality ! I love them ! Will probably buy another one (or maybe 2) sets to connect and have more creepy eyes.

We put the eyes in evergreen bushes timed to go on at dusk. A neighbor came to the door and asked where we got it because his wife wanted to do the same! I almost didn't answer so we could be unique but now there are 2 houses with eyes.
Love these eyes!
from Half Moon Bay, CA
I put them in my tree and have also manufactured a window display. The kids are mesmerized. They are a bit pricy, but last for years and years.

Love these! Have 7 sets now with 3 sets being in use for over 5 Halloweens. Great for trees, bushes, dark corners or other spaces where viewers will be more than a few feet away. Long lasting self-flashing bulbs and easy to replace when out.

Love these lights
I loved these lights, they go very well in one the bushes in front of my house. Wish there were more than 3 sets of eyes though but I will order another set.
from Lombard Ill.
These sure are scary when you dont expect them! These are great for putting in a bush or just a dark corner in a haunted house! I wish I bought more of them! The only problem is one pair of eyes is not blinking. I like them so much I want to get another string! Thanks Spirit!

We used this product last year for Halloween - HUGE hit with the whole neighborhood. Our outdoor display is up from mid Spetember til Mid November and the peepers were used A LOT and still work from last year. We bought MORE to make our display even more spooky/fun - great product.
