Comments about Spirit Halloween Black Pirate Boots:
I wore these boots with the rest of my pirate costume for my annual Samhain party. They looked spot on you're getting what you're looking at and you're getting what you paid for though because due to the cheap price there is no padding and the soles are quite hard. Worked amazing for looks though and the price was well worth what I got
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I would buy and recommend this product.
My husband needed these to complete his pirate costume. We had looked everywhere and couldn't find quite what he wanted. When he opened these up he was like "Heck Yeah!" LOL Let's just say we are very pleased.

Comfortable Halloween Footwear Option!!
The boots are very comfortable and provide support for a fun night of Halloween excitement. The laces did require a second person to verify the lacing was even, but overall very happy with the purchase.
Unsure at first but ended up loving them

Bought these boots for a Halloween costume, and for use at local Renaissance Fairs. Had previously owned a pair and got several years of use out of them. I was a little unsure at first about this pair when they arrived. the zipper was a little sticky. Then I realized its best to wear thinner socks and once the zipper loosened up they were great. These boots have a real authentic look to them and I hope they last as long as my previous pair. On the whole I say give them a shot.
Ankle area too narrow to get foot by.
from New Jersey
My husband wears a size 10 shoe. I purposely bought these pirate boots in size 12/13 so he would be comfortable at a party for hours. I figured we would stuff tissues in the toe area if they were too loose. My husband could not even get his foot past the ankle section when trying on these boots. The ankle section is way too narrow to get your foot past it. We had to send them back. It's really too bad because they LOOK great.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This came in a timely fashion and they fit great. There is even room for some insoles.

Good boots, good price
I bought these for my boyfriend. We are going to a large Halloween party on Oct. 26, and on Nov.8-10 we will be attending a Pirate Festival. Both of these events require comfortable shoes! At first, I was concerned about the sizing. My boyfriend is a size 13, and I was worried that the 12/13 might be tight. It was not. They fit great! Some gel insoles (like Dr. Shoal's, about $10) are a good idea, as the foot bed lacks cushion and padding.I only gave the boots 4 stars, because the laces in the back are a pain. They must be loosened to get the zipper up/down. The laces *should* have been faux, made out of elastic or something. This is really a very minor thing overall, and the boots are a great value for the price!

The boots do the Job!

About Me Comfort-oriented
The boots looked great, were realatively comfortable, though an cushioned insert would have made them better. But they were bought for a costume and they were great. They would work well as ren faire boots if you are going as a faire visitor, but if you are working the faire you will need to make some minor alterations.
