I read previous reviews about the costume not lighting up & hoped it was a fluke. No such luck. We received the first one, did not light up. Changed the batteries, still did not light up. Customer service was great/no hassle. Immediately sent out a replacement. Second one also did not work. Due time running out, we will be ordering a different costume. They did issue a full refund.

Costume was lovely great quality. But the lights need to be better. You couldn't really see them and not all of them would light up.

I bought this costume for my son and he was SOO excited that it was going to light up, Which was an extra cost! When we got it, the lights didn't work on the costume but I noticed it was left on so I assumed the batteries were dead. I went out and bought new batteries and when I took the cover off, the whole inside was corroded and the battery terminals were corroded. I tried to scrap the corrosion off but it still did not work and my son was very upset! I emailed the customer service department Sunday night and within an hour, I got a response with a free return shipping label for the damaged costume and overnighted a new costume for my son! even though this was a horrible experience and the run around that the costume was damaged, they fixed it super fast!

I was so excited for this costume. I special ordered it for my 5yr old Spider-Man fan and even paid more because it was supposed to light up. Once we got it I had him try it on. The fit is great, slightly big which is how I wanted it because we live in a Northern state and Halloween is usually cold. HOWEVER, it did not light up. :( I was about to replace the batteries when I noticed the battery box was crushed and falling apart. I needed this costume for a costume party that week so I couldn't send it back. The same day, I had to drive 1.5 hours to the closest Spirit store because it was the last day the stores were allowing exchanges and returns. I couldn't call ahead because out of the 5 numbers for the store on the Internet, none were correct. So I drove there not knowing if they had any but I figured if I paid for a light up suit, I wanted a light up suit. The Spirit store did not have this suit in stock, they did have another suit that lit up, same size, but that suit ran way too small. So in the end, we ended up going back home with a regular Spider-Man costume. I really really wished this would have worked since my son was so excited :( hopefully ours was a fluke, but I really wish someone would check the costumes for quality control before they send them out.
