About Spirit of Children

At the heart of Spirit Halloween is Spirit of Children, dedicated to making hospitals less scary for kids and their families.

Since 2006, Spirit of Children has provided invaluable funding and uplifting experiences to Child Life Departments within children's hospitals. Beginning with Halloween parties in only 11 hospitals, we have grown to support over 165 partner hospitals across the United States and Canada.

Why Child Life?

Spirit of Children partners with hospitals to provide grants and host Halloween parties for patients and their families. All dollars raised support the Child Life Department in our partner hospitals. Child Life is a specialized area of pediatric healthcare dedicated to supporting children and their families as they navigate stress, fear, and uncertainty associated with illness, hospitalization, and medical experiences.
