My son wanted to be a Viking but a hard plastic helmet was not acceptable to him. (Uncomfortable, hot, heavy, yada yada) I found this one. It was cheap. It arrived and surprised me at the quality. I don't know how historically accurate the gold is but it's Halloween. Who cares. It's fabric and lightweight. Somehow the way it's constructed it fits different heads. It fit him great. He is seven but the size of a 10 year old. It fit me too. I have an average size head. So if you have a giant head it won't work. But it was great. He was a Viking, was comfortable and has worn it to school for crazy hat day.
