Always wanted to host a campfire night? National Bonfire Day is November 5th, and we plan on celebrating by throwing the ultimate bonfire party! Having a bonfire party is an easy way to get your friends and family together for a fun and entertaining night. Follow the steps below and we’re sure that your bonfire will be a hit!

Let’s Get This Party Started: Setting Up

The setup at your campfire is important. Everybody needs to be comfy and able to see the fire.

What you will need:

  • Fire Pit: You’ll need a fire pit to get things started.
  • Seating: Place your favorite seats around the fire pit. Set them up however you want. Just make sure everybody will have easy access to the fire from their spot! If you’re serving food at your bonfire, you’ll want to set up a folding table too.
  • Bluetooth Speaker: Crank up the jams! If you need song recommendations, check out The Perfect Halloween Playlist for Your Spooky Gatherings.
  • Delicious Food: Hot dogs, chips, ingredients to make s’mores. Definitely need s’mores…mmm.
  • Beverages: Hot chocolate is a must at a bonfire! Make sure you’re stocked with water and soda too.
  • Food Supplies: Plastic cups and silverware, paper plates, and napkins.
  • Blankets: The fire should keep you warm, but you won’t regret bringing a nice, cozy blanket.

Burn Baby Burn: Start the Fire

Now for the most important part of the bonfire party… THE FIRE!

What you will need:

  • Fire Pit: As mentioned before!
  • Firewood: If you don’t have access to your own firewood, you can buy it at most hardware stores.
  • Kindling: Sticks and twigs to go around the firewood.
  • Tinder: Small twigs, leaves, or newspapers can help get the fire started.
  • A Lighter

Servin’ Up Some S’mores: Who Doesn’t Love Dessert?

What you will need:

  • Graham Crackers: The crunchy outside.
  • Chocolate Bars: The rich inside.
  • Marshmallows: The delicious goop we all love!
  • Marshmallow roasting sticks, wood skewers, or long, straight twigs.

How to make a s’more:

  • Place two graham crackers next to each other on a plate.
  • Put a piece of chocolate on top of each graham cracker.
  • Grab a marshmallow and put it on the end of your marshmallow roasting stick, wood skewer, or twig.
  • Roast the marshmallow above the flame (not straight into the fire). Rotate your stick so that the marshmallow cooks evenly.
  • When the marshmallow has a nice golden brown color, remove it from the stick and put it on one of the graham crackers. Take the other graham cracker and sandwich it all together!

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the night! Make sure to tell some ghost stories and creepy urban legends because spooky szn never ends. If you have everything listed above, we’re sure your bonfire party will be a memorable one. For more interesting how-to articles, stay updated on our Spirit Halloween blog!
