Even though they are for inside, we us them to light up skulls giving them a very spooky look outside. They look like real fire. The only problem is, they are difficult to ship without damage. One out of 4 was damaged. Spirit stood behind their product and sent a replacement at no charge. Unfortunately, the replacement was damaged during shipping. I was able to repair with superglue. Still very happy with product. Feel bad for Spirit, they are at the mercy of shipping.
