Great Light but lasted less than a year..
By JP in NH
We got this for my son, as a gift. He loves lights and has multiple lights in his room. This was a christmas gift last year. it is less than a year old and already not working, it is mounted so it did not get dropped or damaged. I am disappointed, especially since the light was so expensive. Loved it when it worked, but because it did not last it gets one star.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I was very disappointed after the light inside the machine stopped working after just it's 3rd use. I could still hear the motor running while it was turned on but no lights appeared. Didn't drop it at all, kept it inside it's original box with plenty of support to keep it from getting damaged.

you are stuck with the programmed shots, CTN extensions are not programmable, cannot find any software to do so. NOT recommended

Great laser effects.
This is the best laser light I have ever purchased. It has many bright and clear colors. The patterns produced are great. The body is metal and appears to be very good quality. A little expensive but worth it.

Amazing Product for the price
Read the pros on cons, you can see the designs online, although some cameras make it look more choppy than it really is. Yes, it's not the best geometrically and not all the lines "perfectly" connect and bend. But remember, this has to be engineered to scatter light in such a way to form these exact lines. For the price, it is unbeatable! Good luck finding another 3D lasers under or around 200. This this is also like 3 years old. Still is amazing. I use this all the time when I have people over.

love this new laser ...love it
from springfield, ohio
love this new toy for my dj service would telleveryone that does what I do you need this..
I would advise anyone who is interested in this light to spend a little more and get a better quality light. I was orginially really happy with this light, it looked awesome and everyone loved it. However, after just 3 months of having it the light started to have problems and after 4 it stopped working. The light has never been dropped, or spilt on, it still is in perfect condition. After doing more reaserch on the light turns out it is a desgin problem, and something with the hardware of the light. I would highly recomend on not purchasing this light.

This is fun and interesting to say the least.
WONDERFUL dual patterns, discontinued???
from Suwanee, GA
This laser machine seems to be an early model... It has TWO sets of patterns, one that is music activated ONLY with hearts, wavy lines, saw blades, geometric designs, etc. and the manual mode has an airplane rotating, space tunnel, city streets rushing by, and many others! The purple laser burned out on my machine, so when I went recently to get a replacement, I tested two different stores' models, and now the music mode is the same pattern set as the other mode! Apparently, the company STOPPED making these machines with two sets of patterns, though we've examined BOTH sets of packaging in EVERY detail: The box, instructions and the units themselves are identical in every way. BE WARNED if you decide to buy the newer versions, as I seem to have a rare product... The reason I found this out in the first place is the purple laser burned out completely after only a few months, leaving a few patterns incomplete. So be warned, you may not be able to obtain the laser machines as they were originally designed...All in all, it's a great machine, a little pricey when it first came out, though the price has dropped it may be because the company no longer manufactures the machines with a dual pattern mode...
PRO DJs will LOVE this!

As a Pro DJ, it's a welcome surprise to find such a GREAT product at Spenser's! this is a well built and sturdy piece of equipment! I've used it at over a dozen private, corporate and club events, and it gets a ton of positive feedback. You DO have a bunch of adjustments and stop points where you can have the same scene play over and over: the 5,4,3,2,1 countdown. Anytime during that sequence, just slide the 3-position switch to the middle position, and it will play indefinitely until you move that switch back to the right. I've gone thru all of the sequences, they all do the same… it's a very cool feature.Overall, this is a VERY desirable laser, and the PRICE is absolutely right! If you think you need to get you equipment from a dealer and spend much more than this… forget it! Spenser's has some very cool stuff for very reasonable prices! And a small FYI, I purchased my very FIRST Dj light from Spenser's in 1989, it was a lamp-driven device called (ironically enough) Laser FX Color!
Best For the Money!

I have been doing laser shows for over 30 years. I suspect that my videos on youtube have been the inspiration for all the effects sold here. Well, except for this one. This is the computer driven animated projection that I have never been able to afford to build on my own. When used in combination with all the other effects this makes it look like a professional show. Add some music and charge money to get into your party!

Good color mixing. Remember, A 6 watt version of this type of lazer '' RGB '' has been the icon lighting effect of the electronic music scene. House,Hardstyle,EBM,Industrial,Cyber and Trance. If You're a Raver , this is a manditory purchase. Please use a small amount of fog for mind blowing mid air effects.

The Laser looked great in our Haunte, we had so many people comment that it looks awesome and that it added so much to our event. The only thing is that it goes though a roll of images that I wish was scarier for Halloween but that is ok because it changes the design so fast and the colors look great.
Second one worked
This is ideal for slow moving, random stars. Will be using it for holiday decoration.

I've always loved spencer's for party lighting, so when they released this laser I bought it a week later. It was nothing like I'd expected it to be when I first got it, actually it was a lot better. The designs impressed me very much, though after awhile looking at them, they seemed a bit effortless. It looked like an 8 year old drew some of them. Some lines were missing from some designs, some were pointless, and others just looked like a sketchbook drawing got animated. It's a really nice laser, it works great with my fog machine, but the designs on the automated mode are too sketchy. The sound activated mode works great for me, the designs perfectly match my electro house songs every time and look great with a fog machine. Overall, I would completely suggest to buy this product if you don't mind the designs. It will blow you away if you're used to the kaleidoscope.
Great concept, operation needs polishing

I love fun lights, so my wife got me this for Christmas 2011. I plan to set it up in addition to several other party lights for any parties we host. The auto mode cycles through: some wavy lines?, fireworks, a bird flapping, series of rectangles in a circle, a boxer punching, a clock, varying circles, globe rotating, continents rotating, snowflakes falling, ball traveling trough tunnel, road trip...At first, the auto mode that cycles through a series of patterns and animations was pretty interesting. However, after watching it for a while, I noticed that the time on each pattern gets so short that some are hard to even see what is going on, you blink and miss it! There are some patterns that seem incomplete, pass too quickly or have glitches. Music must be quite loud for the music mode to work. The music mode is a series of floating patterns such as hearts, circles, stars, etc that move when the sound level is high enough. If the beat and volume are correct, the shapes will move with each beat. The shapes do not change with the music, they just follow their pre-defined course in bursts triggered by the sound level. There does not appear to be any intelligent digital processing that listens to the music and creates a show based on the "feel" of the music like in PC music player visualizers. This seems to be more like a hobby or school project than a well made consumer product. If it were a bit more polished in performance, I would recommend highly. The idea is great, but maybe look around before settling for this.

Lets start by explaining that I own more blinky lights than anyone I know. Some people would say I have a problem...I do! I have 16 different blinky lights and 4 laser based lights..and this is the best! A quantum leap from the other lights I've seen. The different colored lasers are like going from your grandad's color TV to your HDTV...beautiful colors! The main mode cycles through different projection scenes and when it gets to a scene you like you can stop it on that scene by flipping a switch to lock it in on that mode(it would be nice to have a remote here!) At first I thought the sound activated mode was very lame as the first visualization was boring, but found that there was almost a whole cd's worth of different modes that will blow your mind(and COMPLETELY different from the cycling scenes in the other mode). One problem here, there is no way to adjust the audio sensitivity (which can only be used with onboard mic, no hardwired audio input like other lights I have) so at least in mine I had to turn up my system to a decent volume to get music-based mode to stay on. Seems well built but less than a month old so we'll see. Don't be cheap...buy it..you won't be disappointed.
