Comments about Spirit Halloween Kids Woodland Warrior Costume:
We were able to try on the costume at the store --thank you so much. It's adorable (even if warriors don't want to be described as adorable) and the one tried on was relatively well made, stitching was even and only one stray thread. Our child is a general size 10 at 54" and aboput 73 lbs, and the 8-10 costume fit perfectly right now, just like a fitted t-shirt; if child is heavy for size or layers are required beneath for warmth, costume will be too tight. When I looked at the sizing online our kid was at the upper end of all measurements for this size, as stated fits perfectly Right Now, not sure about in six months. Wig with ears was also a little tight, not sure if it's bigger in the larger sizes. Compared to the "licensed" Link costume, this one gets gauntlets, and boot TOPS, notice the sneakers showing in the costume package photograph. The Licensed one features a full boot (I'm guessing it's a cover, we haven't seen it yet) BUT NO Gauntlets. I think I made a mistake in ordering the official one, this one was really too cute and I misunderstood that the Licensed Link doesn't include the gauntlets, so I'll probably have an extra costume if someone needs it! The pleather belt slips loose fairly easily and fell off while in the store; pants are not included.
I'd originally planned to make a Link costume myself and was surprised to actually find this one in the store. The hat fits on our kids head ok, seems a little more tenuous when put on over the wig but does have three Velcro strips to help it stay in proper position. The kid's happy, and I'm happy to find a costume that doesn't cover the face, is pretty darn cool, and isn't creepy-scary for a change!
When trying to decide between two sizes, choose the larger size for a better fit.
