Comments about Spirit Halloween 5 Ft Posable Metal Frame Dummy - Decorations:
Where to begin? This metal frame dummy is awful. Completely and totally awful. The joints cannot take any weight, and must be secured if they are to hold a pose at all. Now, one might think this is no big deal until they dress the dummy and realize they have no way to get to the fasteners now that their costume is covering the joints, and they are left with the options of either leaving it in whatever pose they dressed it in, taking it apart and starting the entire process over, or wrestling with both the frame and whatever suit they chose to dress it in in order to properly tighten those joints. Another issue with this product is that it is so cheaply made. Mine broke in not one, not two, but three, count em, three places during the time I spent trying to coax one costume onto it. Oh, and it was bought defective so that's something too. The way I see it is, if you buy this dummy, don't mount anything on it thats heavier than a flannel shirt and some jeans. It will collapse on itself. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO SPEND HOURS TRYING TO GET IT TO WORK FOR YOU.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Midrange Shopper
I bought this in August and just recently set it up. He's as tall as me. (which is a good thing) Many people often forget that it comes with an alloy wrench (in box) so keeping him from moving isn't as hard as everyone makes it sound. Getting a costume on him was a bit of a chore but if you're smart you can bend him to your advantage like I did. All and all he's a really good prop and I plan to put him in my window display this year..can't wait to see how many scares I get from him.

We bought two after Halloween at stores, and one was giving to us as a Christmas present. Out of the three, only one is usuable as a stand alone prop. One had a ball joint in his hip crack as we were tightning it, and the other the locking joints we're strips and once you dress him he keeps falling over at the knees. We are pretty disappointed with what we thought was a great idea for customizing our Halloween scenes. Not pleased at all.

About Me Classic
I have returned this item once, after the knee broke. Less thann 10 mintues after getting the new one dressed and in the yard, the arm just fell off of it. It's a metal dummy with plastic joints, that break. My husband has now used sheet metal screws to keep it together, as returning it the first time took 45 minutes and the store employees were not helpful. It's a neat concept, but poor quality.
well worth the money....very creepy

Dressed him up to look like Jason from part 2 with the white sack on his head. It was very real looking. Its tall too which adds to it being so scary. Just needed some stuffing to fill him out to make him more realistic.Looking forward to putting him out Halloween night.

I was very excited to see that Spirit had this posable figure. We own a lot of animatronic characters and display characters and loved the idea of being able to dress one up to fit our halloween theme. Bravo on the attempt, but ultimately a fail. I'm happy to see that other people had a better experience, however, mine was very different. Right out of the box, I had a difficult time connecting the metal rods together. As a note, you have to put the costume on while assembling the figure, because not all costumes can pull over it once assembled (I used the Blackbeard costume). It turned out to be really unstable. I couldn't get the figure to hold up its own weight, even without a costume. They went for optimal flexibility by providing a number of joints, which are good intentions, but even tightened down, the joints would collapse. It wouldn't even be consistent on where it fell over: ankles, knees, and hips. So, the idea of creating poses was basically impossible because just standing up right, it would collapse. I did fully dress it in the pirate costume with foam to cover the legs and arms and pillows for the chest and stomach just to see if, fully assembled, I would have better luck, but unfortunately not. So, this figure is going back to the sorry. Hopefully it will improve.
I purchased two of these and both of them were defective!
from Orlando, FL
Let me start off by saying, I purchase several props a year from Spirit Halloween. I have a big party every year. I purchased two these posable props. The first one was defective, the hand would not fit into the metal arm frame. I returned it and got another one. The second one, one of the arms fell off, and the legs wouldn't fit into the base. The metal bars attached to the base where you put the shoes are on backwards. I got no help from customer service. As a matter of fact when I tried to return the first one they wanted to charge me full price even though I got it with a 20% coupon. I am very disappointment.

Perfect way to decorate inside or out!
By Myers Voorhees Family

Perfect way to decorate inside or out! Solidly built, and standing at 6' tall, this is a perfect way to use previous year's costumes to add to our decorations both inside and outside! Already have him set up and wearing last year's Michael Myers jumpsuit and mask! Hands have individually posable fingers so it is easy for Michael to hold his knife. No workaround needed. All the parts lock into place and has a wide sturdy base. Adding Michael Myers standing out in the graveyard scene in the front yard is going to look amazing this year! Already thinking about getting a second one!
