What happens when you take a walk through the cemetery after dark - the caretaker appears to run you off. This Creepy Caretaker Animated Prop is just the thing to strike fear in the hearts of guests! The sound activated caretaker rises above his tombstone with glowing eyes as his lantern lights and his mouth moves to utter scary warnings and spooky Halloween sounds. Fantastic!

Nice looking, nice action just one issue

Comments about Spirit Creepy Caretaker Animated Prop:
I really like this prop and what it does it does well. Good action, nice design. The only issue I have with it is the volume of the voice could be louder. It was a bit low for my needs but it is still a great prop. Just need to pump up the volume!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this to use in my front yard decorating and it is a very cool piece. I thought that having it outside that the motion detector wouldn't work since no one goes by it, but with loud sounds and even the cars going by sets it off which is perfect. He looks very creepy and has built in lights that help set him off and the creepy sayings are good. Unfortunately I can't give it 5 stars since his sound went out within a week of using him. He still looks creepy even without the sound and I think its just a loose wire. Also I recommend bringing him in from rain to maintain him working good

A very good buy when on special.

A very unique item to add to my display this year. Try to buy it when on special or with free shipping. Multiple movements, which is great. The face and especially the eyes lack some realism. I usually put my own mask over these faces to cover up the bright glowing eyes. The big test yet to come is how well it holds up season to season.

Great prop, when it works.
I purchased him last season for our graveyard display. We were blown away by the animation in his face and the voice was certainly creepy. When I went to put him out this year, I ended up having to take the motor and all electrical components apart because he wasn't working. Some wires were completely disconnected or they were hanging on by a thread. Pretty bad considering I baby my props and bring them in when it rains or we have high winds. All in all, it's a great concept, I just wish I didn't lose 3 hours of my life performing surgery.
Best One Out There! Legit

There are a lot of graveyard props like these. THIS IS THE BEST CHOICE. His sayings are VERY scary and it is the best quality looking piece. The balance of the tombstone is a little tricky and flimsy but you cannot beat his voice and mouth movements. GREAT BUY VERY SATISFIED

I really like him. I have been building my front yard grave yard since middle school. (I am not in college) and he was a perfect addition. I put him close to the door and put the pad under the ground so he pops up when stepped on. A crowd pleaser.

When I first got the creepy caretaker he worked until two days before Halloween. His sound and his left eye didn't light up and his tombstone didn't come with the stakes
Awesome Prop Poorly Made

My Wife and I fell in love with this prop while shopping in the store. They only had the display model at the time so we were put on a waiting list. The wait wasn't very long (only a couple of days).I put it together (following the directions to the letter), but it wasn't working right. The lights, sound, and mouth worked, but he wouldn't go up.I wiggled the wires to the motor and then it went up.I had two choices (open up the motor housing and re-solder the wires) or (take it back to the store).I didn't want void any warranties so I took it back. The store didn't have any to replace it so I chose to just get my money back.I'm not very happy about this item.
Creepy! Yes he was!!!

I have bought a lot of Halloween animatronics, mostly witches. My house theme is animatronic witches and airblown black cats. But we expanded this year to include spiders and a graveyard. This guy was a perfect edition. He was sufficiently loud, he popped up and scared kids. It was great. The only bad part is putting the tombstone together because it is Styrofoam. But it worked and he did look and work great.
Nice Prop, More Portable

Just received from another vendor by mistake, but decided to keep. Good graveyard addition, solid base, loud sound and decent voiceover and material. Because this one runs on batteries it's much more flexible as to placement. Would be sneakier if the cheap plastic hand wasn't always visible. Had to order U shaped ground stakes to hold tombstone down as it's too light like most to stay up in a breeze. But simple remedy. One of several similar props available but still nice.

Not what I expected
Creepy Caretaker mostly good

After awhile of use, one of the eyes would go on and off once the creepy guy started talking... It's got to be a loose wire inside, but I refrain from opening him up...you never know how that will go... So, he's even a little more creepy than the other caretakers...

Great when we 1st got it for our haunted forest. The bad part is that the off switch is really timer at least in this 1. So you have to take the batteries out to turn it off which is a pain. It worked well in our haunted forest and was scary and lit up perfectly. It was a great addition to our "graveyard" in the forest. The plastic hand is kind of cheesy but other than that it is fine. Hope that it works for this year
this is one of my favorites
watch your step because you dont want to cross the path of this freaky fella. the creepy caretaker quietly rises behinde his tombstone with his lantern flikering mouth moving sand eves lighting up. dont think twice about buying this prop. its my favorite spirit prop i own.
Great Prop with only one real difficulty
By Nolan the Pretty Cool Dude
from Tampa, FL
This is by far my favorite Halloween prop that I own. It works great and, after testing it a week ago, I found that it survived storage in my closet- which isn't an easy accomplishment. The only problem I came across was trouble getting the motion detector to work; which wasn't really an issue since it went off periodically. I'm considering getting a footpad for next year.
By Spirit is awsome
it is over all one of the best props of my haunted garage that I make every year because it attracts people. I gave it 4 stars because the face doesn't look the same as on the video/package. Over all its really cool and I think everyone should try it out!
i would by this again and again

Creepy but issues with lift
from Fresno, Ca
I like the look of this guy and his mouth moves to his words to look pretty realistic. However, the wiring that makes the lift work had some issues. I was able to take it apart and fix it but, I question how many Halloweens he'll be around. The other part I don't care for, is the gravestone, it's made out of two foam pieces and the picks that are supposed to keep the two pieces together do a horrible job. I was able to glue it together so it wouldn't keep separating but, it's disappointing that I had to do so much work on it for something I just purchased 10 minutes before. If you're looking for something to really make your cemetery pop, he'll do a great job, but he is not wired for outdoor use so it's something you would bring out the day of. Lastly the box didn't state otherwise at the store but, the AC adapter is not included for this guy.

I loved it when I first saw it in action... (1st time back to the store) The problem was, when I got home the mouth did not work and it did not go up or down...(2nd time back to the store) The moth still did not work (ok, so what you could hear it) would go up but not down.(3rd time back to the store) OK I want something else now... they offered me the diplay but I said naw...

I was looking for something to give my graveyard entrance a little kick. And this little piece delivered. My visitors were scared and excited when he rose from behind the tombstone like the great pumpkin. I dressed up the surroundings for him and POW!! Great reaction from the guest.
