Comments about Spirit Halloween Blood Gel:
Never melted. I microwaved numerous times. And I even tried to boil it in a water bath. It never melted.. not even a little bit. Very annoyed about it. I'll try the gel blood at party city and HOPE that works !
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Will not melt and outdated
Ordered two. Both were defective. Will not melt. The bottles are dated 2015, obviously old or outdated stock being sold. Junk

Does not melt!
This stuff does NOT melt in the microwave. It says 10 seconds... but after more than 3 minutes total, it's still a solid jelly booger.Despite the manufacturer stating "This is not a normal occurrence" - judging by the countless other reviews, it IS normal.Don't waste your money on this junk.

Do Not Buy - Terrible Product
from Beaumont, TX
Bought this to complete my wolf attack makeup for my red riding hood costume. This junk was solid. Microwaved it as instructed several times (repeatedly totally almost 15 minutes) and it never broke down or melted to be able to apply to my skin. Ended up having to use my sisters cake baking food coloring (which worked awesomely). Do not buy this garbage. Ended up trashing it bc it was 100% useless.
Goes above and beyond the average fake blood
from San Francisco
About Me Creative
This is different from other fake blood. You heat it up in a pan of water to get it soft and runny. Let it cool a bit and then drip down any orifice on your face. It completely dries, so it doesn't smear, hair doesn't get stuck in it, etc. At the end of the night, you simply peel it off like a sticker!!! I've used it under my eyes and it's a great effect. It takes a little time for heating and cooling, but really worth the look in the end.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Followed directions and tried both microwave and stovetop to get the blood to melt. The best I could get was a jelly like consistency that won't stick to anything. Terrible product.

Would not Liquify
First off, I've purchased this product before under the same brand, but different name. The one I have really that works well was called "Living Nightmare Gel Blood" (Also by Fun World). It has a clear lid, and red cap. I absolutely loved this product for creating blood effects on my face (blood tears, blood dripping from the mouth or chin, etc.) So when I purchased two of these gel bloods, I was very disappointed to find that they would not liquify AT ALL. Even in boiling hot water, it still remained in gel form. I've had my original gel blood for going on 3 years now, and it still works, so I'm not sure why these brand new bottles that I purchased this year would not liquify. Perhaps the company (also by Fun World) changed the formula? Whatever they did, I hope they fix it. If I could give 0 stars I would because the product is absolutely useless, and a waste of money.

Quick gum remover

About Me Adventurous, Classic
This remover is good for taking the excess spirit gum of the part of the body that it is applied. It's good. not much to say about it. Nothing negative.
waste of money
from Elk Grove
This stuff had a decent blood color but it would not melt at all. I tried using some on my sons costume after following the directions, then continuing to heat it, then adding water and heat and it still would not liquefy. It looked more like a giant blood booger then anything else. I had to make some blood up with some syrup and food coloring. What a waste of money.
Does Not Melt
from Pasadena, Ca
About Me Classic, Trendy
I read the instructions and heated it in the microwave and nothing. So I heated the water to near boiling and then put the bottle in the water again and nothing! Then I broke off a little chunk and put it in the water and still nothing. This stuff would not melt.
buy.. if you want PINK blood
By Makeup Artist
from mansfield, ohio
I'm a professional makeup artist whom ran out of my regular gel blood right before a haunted house was going to open for the night and ran to my local Sspirit Halloween for gel blood. At first I enjoyed the consistency, but quickly realized it was an awawful BRIGHT red/pink. I would rather use no gel blood at all than to use this junk again. To other customers, do your selves a favor and buy other gel blood online. It's so much better and the same price, you don't even have to heat it up.
DID NOT WORK FOR ME
from BAKERSFIELD CA

Most versatile fake blood out there!
from Rochester NY
About Me Actor, Adventurous, Great For Zombie Effects, Indiana Jones Costumer, Pro-level Cosplayer, Trendy
I have used this product for years, and it's versatility still astounds me. The morons who can't read will never know it's sheer AWESOMENESS and that it becomes liquid again with just seconds in the microwave (or when held under hot water), and can be applied, dries, used and peeled and re-heated to be re-used again, if you're careful about it! I've turned on my Theater friends to the product for use in adorning swords and such for battle scenes in plays, etcetera. On the skin, it's awesome, too, and peels right off, with no staining (but CAN stain some fabrics). It's my go-to 'wonder-product' for blood effects!!
You'll never go back to regular blood

About Me Adventurous
I'm really tired of seeing bad reviews of this product from people who didn't read the instructions. No, this product will not come out of the container unless you heat it first as CLEARLY stated in the instructions. I love this product as it dries (cools) to a gel (similar to silicone) and looks wet, but is completely dry to the touch and wont drip or make a mess of your clothing. You can also play with it as it dries to create 3-D gore.

Dried up before it could be used.
from Glendale, AZ
The blood was dried up the moment I took it out of the package. I tried to use the small application stick to try and get some out, but with no luck. I wouldn't recommend this product.

I used this product with the vampire bite marks and I have to say, you can't buy any prosthetic bites/wounds without buying this stuff too! My only wish is that Spirit might have put in their description on their website that you have to heat the product before you can use it. It doesn't come in a liquid state and you have to run it under hot water for about 5 minutes to get it to liquefy. So, if you need to get ready in a shot amount of time don't forget that you need to dedicate some time to this product. In the end this looks very realistic and everyone was asking me what I used.
