About Me Midrange Shopper
I do a pretty big Halloween display and for the last few years, this has been one of my favorite effects. It's well done. Fishing line connects the black rod to the head and hands. The door to my garage (not the big garage door) is outside. This is where I hang mine. It's great because everything is dark so you can't really see the rod and, the blue lights are bright enough that if you look at the ground directly under the ghost you can see the shadow of the cloth moving on the ground and it's creepy. It is kind of tricky to turn it off. If your not careful enough, you'll reach up to turn it off and the motion will trigger the ghost. Once the ghost is in motion, it's not the best idea to turn it off mid-motion. Have your finger on the switch and as soon as the ghost stops moving turn it off. Another tip is to either hang it on 2 nails a few inches apart or tie a string to the side of it and then to something else next to it. If you hang it on 1 nail, that will allow it to twist and turn: not something you want to have happen.

I purchased the ghost approximately 8 years ago and it's still one of our favorite decorations. We hang it in a dark hallway during our Halloween parties and it's a pretty scary prop for the money.

Great for halloween scare. Hang it in the tree next to the porch and watch people jump when it goes off. Not to scary for younger kids.

This unit is in the middle of my haunted garage & watching folks almost urinate in their pants when she comes down is worth every dime I paid for it. Her eerie sounds never get old either, cuz once you've heard them, you won't soon forget it. Not recommended for young children however. lol
Great Buy..Great Price

We bought the ghost and the bride, for our haunted hallway. They looked great and the sound effects were awesome.LED's were a little too bright for the effect we were going with in the hallway but we just ended up putting electrical tape over them.Overall you cant go wrong especially for the price
A Couple Tips
Bought one of these around the time they first came out, lasted several years, stil lworks with 2 motors out of 3 (rigged a pully from another line for the broken motor to get full motion still).Figure makes sound and is lit, and "floats" in midair, similar to the famous Flying Crank Ghost. For those who got the early models where the end of the sound effect is muffled and the lights cut out early, this bug appears to have been fixed in recent models.Triggers by sound or photocell, can be rigged to trigger on command by taping an LED in front of the motion sensor and rigging the LED to turn on with a button press.Good advice on how to shut down the prop retracted, but there is actually one more trick to this. If you look closely there is a small black button (tiny, not the demo button), pressing that button will immediately cause the sequence to stop (lights go out, sound cuts) and the motors will all retract and retriggering will not occur as long as it is held in. The ghost connects via clips to the animation bar and thus could be replaced, (again I am working from an early model here, no guarantees this info is still correct, items are often retooled throughout the production run).

Review for Ghost
from Burlington, ON, Canada
This will be one of the items hanging from where we normally have planters hung from on our patio when handing out treats to the kids Halloween night. The box only had text instructions on the box as opposed to a visual step-by-step assembly drawing sheet, but it was relatively simple to figure out even without reading any instructions. It has a motion/sound sensor and reacts very quickly on fresh batteries. When I had it assembled and tried it for the first time in a darkened room I was actually impressed at how spooky this ghost looked and sounded! The only thing that concerns me is the delicate fabric of the ghost, but as long as it gets packed away in its box every year like we do with most of our stuff, it should be okay. One little note, to have the strings retract all the way back before packing it away, have your finger ready on the on/off button and just let it go through it's sounds and motions and once it stops, then switch it off before you set if off again.

About Me Practical
I bought this about 4 years back and it lasted 3 years. I have a four year old little brother, which proves this thing is virtually indestructable. I've had no problems with it. Last year the poor thing croaked. (some joker decided to cut the strings it was hanging on)
