Unfortunately this costume didn't fit right. The waist was way too low and the tutu was way too puffy and unmanageable. It just didn't look good. The store was nice enough to let me exchange it for something else even though I ordered it online.

This was bigger than I expected for a small but mostly the torso portion is long so it doesn't look quite right. I will have to do a little work with a needle and thread but it should work out fine. It is very itchy so plan to wear something under it.

I am a 34 year old mom of two, and I needed a costume that found a happy medium between "doofy parent" and "sexy something". Prettier than a crayon costume, but definitely not too revealing or inappropriate. Something you can bend down to pick up a child in, without worrying about the skirt flipping up over your hips. I think this one splits that difference nicely.

This is a very cute costume. While I would say that it technically runs "true to size", something you have to take into account is that you only have 2 sizing options, and they each span about 4 dress sizes. If you DON'T mind putting two or three quick stitches here and there to make the fit a little more flattering, this is a pretty safe bet. I'm not bothered by small alterations. I don't really expect something as universally sized as a Halloween costume to fit like a glove, right out of the box, so a little improvising is no biggie.

Definitely plan on wearing something like a slip underneath though. The waistband is pretty abrasive.
