It is flat and not round. When you put it on, it does not look right and seems as though it is going to fall apart.

My teen-age son wore this costume to a Halloween party. When he came home it was a bit dirty and smelled like smoke. Not machine washable so we hung outside on line for a couple days to air out and it was ok. The costume was a huge hit at the party!
