Best-looking spider on the block! Looked on the internet for correct spider leg anatomy.

Huge, and looks great!

The spider's legs are very long, so the entire spider covers a wide span. The legs have wires in them to be flexible, so you can bend them how you like. But this also limits you in how you can display the spider, since the wires will not support the body of the spider (if you had it in a position where you want the body higher than the legs). I decided to have it on a huge white rope/string web that was connected from a lamp on the house, down into the landscaping. It was difficult the get the spider propped up well on the web, but I was able to do it with clear packing tape. Each of the wire legs is covered with a semi-loose tube of material which is sewn to the body on one end, and sewn closed on the "foot" end. (Do spiders have feet?) Anyway, I attached the tape to the foot ends where they met the string web. We had a few windy days, and I was worried about the spider, so I covered the entire thing with a thin, clear plastic painting tarp. But the wind was still too strong, and it pulled at the spider. One of the material leg coverings tore away from the body of the spider. So it was not sewn very well, but then again, in a different position, this probably wouldn't happen. I would suggest either having the spider on a flat horizontal surface, or if hanging, have it hang straight down from something, using it's wire legs to wrap onto something. Just be careful so that material doesn't rip. Otherwise, it is great! I would also recommend putting a spotlight on it, since it doesn't light up.

the 9' spider was a great addition to our house for halloween as part of our decour is spiderwebs, spiders and our graveyard.the spider was a great distraction as my son and his friends were able to approach the trick or treaters without notice and give them all a good scare, just what makes halloween so fun
