When it rains it pours, at least on your Halloween guests it will. The Mourning Glory decoration features an ominous woman dressed in all black. She may look in mourning, but the only one in tears will be your unsuspecting guests, as her umbrella twirls maniacally and her eyes light-up in a deathly glare. Umbrella features white LED lights to resemble lightning.

This is not a good product. The kids were not scared of her because before the jump scare you can already see her face.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Difficult to Assemble
from Ft. Worth, TX
The prop is really cool, however, it has issues. The wooden base is cheap plywood that breaks easily. The instructions tell you to lift the dress over the woman's head to assemble the product. the dress is tight and hard to get over the head. The wires are under the head/shoulder area and are difficult to find. What the instructions fail to tell you, which would have been good to know, is that at the back of the dress, up top, there's Velcro that you can undo to get easier access to the wires and controls. It took me 2 hours to assemble this prop and at the very end I found the Velcro on the back of the dress. Everyone needs to know that the Velcro is there so you don't fight with the things for an hour trying to connect the wires that control everything. My suggestion to Spirit Halloween: 1. Put a hidden zipper on the front of the dress so you can unzip her to assemble it better. 2. Mention in the instructions that there is Velcro on the back of the dress to help get the wires hooked up and to control the prop.3. Use a better piece of wood that doesn't break so easily. The plastic things, that were attached to the plywood, broke off because the wood is flimsy. For a prop like this, a better piece of wood would have been nice.

I gave her a great review at first. She seemed well built. That is until I discovered her down on the floor one day, with a completely bent umbrella. She is creepy, and it's too bad I'm unable to use her because of her falling over for no reason. Disappointing.
Guest Services Response:We appreciate your feedback on our Mourning Gory animatronic. We're sorry to hear your umbrella became bent after your animatronic was knocked over. This is truly a wonderful prop. I would have liked it to be a little cheaper but it's definitely worth it.

She is amazing one of the beat props nobody expects her umbrella to move
This prop is super scary and is worth the money!
This prop is awesome and scary, never seen anything like it I would recommend it too you!
Not bad, but the umbrella is flimsy and this item will take a lot of TLC. But I do love the all black dress and the speakers are fairly loud.
I would buy again if designed differently

I love the idea of this prop. I love her animation with the umbrella and her eyes and I love her look. She loves very creepy. HOWEVER, it is a nightmare to put together. Lots of difficulty I had when I was assembling it. Her poles don't easily lock in place and they didn't give alot of room in the chest area to assemble everything around there. Once she's all together, mine was real wobbly and didn't seem stable at all. Second, its impossible to take her apart. Not sure if it was designed to take apart or not but its very convenient to store these props for next season when they're able to be easily taken apart. Overall, this prop was kind of frustrating but it looks so cool. Hope they remake her parts differently for easier assembly
Love her but she was a little high maintenance
from San Diego
She is very creepy and I was so excited when I got her. I had difficulty putting her together and needed help about 1/3 of the way in. She is very top heavy. We ended up having to put a bottle of washer fluid and a big rock on the wood base to keep her from falling over. She worked well once we got her situated and my trick or treaters thought she was spooky. I much rather would have had the kneeling mourner from a few years ago, but she was no longer available. But she was a good addition to my graveyard. I would recommend, but to someone with patience.

About Me Adventurous, Trendy
I went to several SpiritHalloween stores and the Mourning Gory wasnt on/working until I finally found a store with the complete and functioning display as per the online video. I was thrilled to see her in person and had to buy her. I got home and set up by our foyer to surprise my brother. Watching him scream and jump up into the air filled me with joy and amusement! I definitely recommend this to give your guests a scare this halloween season!
Not the best

About Me Adventurous
When I saw this I went to my local Spirit Halloween store to purchase this. Prepared all parts to assemble, directions are okay with exception of breast plate (went on website to see video to get better idea, paper instructions don't say velcro).Connecting the wires could be designed a bit better, not easy access. Heavier metal for telesope bars, and the button locks are not enough to keep the poles from collapsing when trying to connect them. The dress was poorly manufactured, after I had the entire thing put together I noticed a 5" area that was not sewn together, the hair was not glued on very well, was falling off. After spending a good 45-60 minutes I was not about to attempt breaking it down to return it! The volume is adequate using AC adaptor, have not tried batteries. For the price I am rather disappointed
She is AWESOME
from Frankfort, IL
I love this animatronic!!! She is such a unique prop. Spirit did a good job with this one. The one problem I have with mine is that the motion sensor doesn't work to well, you need to be very close to set it off. Other then that everything works and she is SUPER SCARY!!!!
I'd probably buy it again.
Very tall. Pretty cool animatronic. Not real easy to put together though.

About Me Classic
Bought her when the store first opened but when I took her out of the box two wires were broken. Returned it and got another one that works great I get scared that she won't last but she is a really great prop and definitely gonna scare people on halloween. I give it 3 stars only because my first one was broken and I feel she is very delicate, but other than that she's really great.

Another Scary One

She is quite frightening and will be the perfect addition to the cemetery on our haunted trail. I will place her next to a open coffin. I really like the wooden base she is mounted on and I also like the fact the volume can be controlled. It took me about 30 minutes to put her together, as I made a mistake placing one of the pieces in the wrong place and had to take her apart and reassemble her. My only complaint would be, there is no mention in the directions on how to take her apart, with regards to the snap type locks that hold her framework together.
