He has a much shorter range of motion than is implied on the box and in the video. His body only moves a few inches, but his arms do reach out.
He does have a fairly quick reaction time.
His head is a little small for his body and he doesn't have the creepy factor, but he is menacing.
We wouldn't recommend putting him outside unless you can keep him dry.

I thought this was really cool when I bought it, and it scared everyone on Halloween. But I took it out a few days ago only to find that it does not work anymore. The arms keep extending and retracting even after it has finished a cycle. It is still cool, but now if I can't fix it I will have to disconnect the arms and it will just lunge. This is not a very well made prop. Not going to bother to argue with TekkyToys as they are very incompetent. Very disappointed that it is out of stock at Spirit. Please bring it back so I can buy a new one. I will not ask for my money back though because it's not Spirit's fault, it's TekkyToys's fault. I like TekkyToys animatronics, but some of them are not very well made. Bummer it broke. Still giving it 3/5 stars because it still lunges and it is very cool-looking and has a scary audio track. Just disappointed the arms stopped working. Please bring him back Spirit. I would still recommend it to a friend because most of them seem to work well and it is a very cool prop.

Jack O' Lunger is a great addition to my haunt! I have 35+ spirit Halloween animatronics, and this one is one of my favourites being he just has that awesome scare-factor! I love his evil laugh and the way he lunges! Great addition to ANY Halloween display!

This guy was great at my party. It was a grown up party so I put him on a low table so he would be more scary when lunging. He has the same mechanism as the jumping spider and although weighted, he can move forward a bit after resetting. I would make sure he hasn't scooted toward the end of a table or near a stairway. He fell off my low table after about six resets. :)

It does not work and I should have known better than to buy from Spirit Halloween as in the past they do not stand behind their products. I do have many animatronics from your company not working.

The "Lunging Pumpkin" is a great prop. I purchased him on the last day of the "End of the Year" sale as my last In-Store purchased prop for this year. I brought him home Brand New, but in a Store Display Box. Once we turned him on he worked fine right away. He is very Creepy, and has Bright Lighted Eyes and Fast Lunging Movement. My ONLY Concern is his head came a little bit turned to his left instead of Completely Straight, but that's okay. He is a very Unique decoration and will do great in my "Scary Farm" themed Haunted House next year! :)

e looks awesome, but the jump is a little slow in my opinion. Doesn't give that fright I was hoping for. Still recommended.

i love my jack o lunger! but he has a poor design. mine has a broken tab that you click the back foot into the base. i had to contact
Tekky toys (the maker) for a new base. shortly after that, i had to contact them again about him having a delayed reaction to lifting his arms. His arms also make a big clicking sound. he is now back to working perfectly, thanks to Tekky toys! i still think this is a great prop, but all most parts are made of plastic. He will do great in my 2015 haunt!

he works properly, he has a volume control!,hes actually quite loud which is nice because it covers up the noise from the motor winding back after triggered and his sensor seems easy to trigger.
I like the newer line of creepy pumpkin stuff lately, its nice to see something new.
he could be a little bigger like the 'nester'....his head looks a little goofy being so small.

after I saw five star rating by 5 other reviewers.. I went out and bought this. it does not lung out that far and seems sluggish. not impressive at all.Lunging lily was a much better lunger.

I received Jack O Lunger just yesterday and loved his detail! His box is enormous. His arms lunge all the way out when activated along with his body and head lunges up like he was sleeping. He is eye level with little kids and will scare them like crazy! His detail is great. His hands are bigger than mine by a lot. I highly recommend it.

I received Jack O Lunger yesterday and I absolutely loved him! I pre ordered him about a month ago and he wasn't suppose to come till the 19th. He is an extremely fast lunger with some awesome detail. His arms lunge out all the way and his head and body follow behind. Nothing about it is bad. He is eye level with little kids that will scare them silly! Highly recommend him.

I just received Jack O Lunger in the mail today. I was so happy because he wasn't suppose to come 'till September 19th and I even used economy shipping which is the cheapest. Apparently It was standard because he came today and way earlier than he was suppose to come. It was sorta of a gift since I bought it with my birthday money. He is very well detailed and will scare everyone this halloween! When lunges his hands like lunge extremely fast out and his body goes out just as far. His head snaps up as he lunges since his head starts in like a down position. All in all, I highly recommend this prop!
