Those poles that come with the witch are not strong enough to hold them up.

If they were better made
The witches looked good but the first wind came and broke the poles and stakes. We had to rig them up to place up again. The holding hands wishes were the same broken.

Love these witches, I put these around my cauldron. The only thing was I had to get dowels to put them on because the poles that came with them didn't fit.

They look great, but don't hold up well
from New Jersey
I loved the way they looked, they make the yard come to life, but I had to reinforce them with heavy wire. The stakes bent as soon as you try to push them in the ground. It's a shame because I love them.

3 piece Lawn Witch Decor
I used the product for outside decoration, the children had a blast with the decorations (Taking lots of pictures with there friends), the only thing that the boots should be a little more durable..., they kept falling off after the rain...

These witches are not too bad for the price. They could definitely be bigger and it would be nice if each one was just a little bit different than the other instead of them being all the same. However, they are well made except for the stakes as noted in other reviews. I simply purchased some inexpensive wooden plant steaks (1x6', 1x4') and cut them in staggered lengths, spray painted them black and attached the witches to them with tie wraps to make it look like they were taking off. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase.

The witches are nice but the picture that is shown it looks like they are better quality then they actually are.
Nice addition, lacks important quality
We are doing a witches theme décor this year for our home and party. I was the fence of purchasing this item until I saw it on sale. I pulled the trigger and when we received them myself and my family though they looked pretty cool. Well, when I went to stick in the lawn the stakes are weak, so I had to dig holes first and two they are made very cheap. The part of the stake that mates to the pvc poles collapse and does not hold up the witches at all. I had to ditch the stakes all together and dig holes deep enough so I can just stick the pvc directly into the ground. I could have rated this higher if the stakes were not an issue and they cost less. Shop around before buying these.
Double double, toil and trouble!
from Pittsburgh, PA
These ladies are a hit in my neighborhood. Grouped together at different heights (one is perched atop a birdhouse on a 5-ft. pole), they are eyecatching and make people smile. They have been said to cast unsettling spells! If you're in a windy area, you must get dowel rods or something to strengthen the posts.
dont waste your money.

Looked nothing like the photo. They looked sunburnt outfits looked nothing like the photo. Hats and dresses where cone orange plastic ( the paper work that came with them bleed onto hats ) Poles where VERY weak. Very cheaply made. VERY DISAPPOINTED was really looking forword to using them.

This was bought to display outside on the front lawn. The stakes were like rubber and did not penitrate the lawn. They all bent. The colors were not as displayed. Cheaply made

Based on other reviews, I was hesitant to make this purchase but I'm glad I did. The witches are accurately depicted in the picture. The ground stakes were accurately described by reviewers as weak (more like useless). Fortunately, a quick trip to Home Depot for some cheap, 5'-6' ft. bamboo sticks and the problem was solved. I staked the bamboo into the ground at varying heights and it gave the impression the witches were airborne/flying. This greatly improved their stability and appearance.
good design very cheap parts
Worst Quality Purchase To Date!
from Downingtown, Pa
I've had my eye on these for a long time to have these witches chasing across yard. I finally bought them, only upon arrival very disappointed. The total quality was very poor from the remnant clothing (I had to redo these), ill painted faces, flat hats with 2 velcro strips to attach to bald head. Sparse hair was below hat. Body parts had to be repositioned such as 1 had legs backwards, poles didn't fit correctly and ground anchors bent when I carefully tried to put them into the earth. Luckily I had bamboo to use for poles. A good makeover project if not returned. Save yourself misery, don't buy now. Hopefully these cuties will be discontinued only to be reintroduced in the quality they deserve and be as the picture shows. Love em a lot, but not in their present quality.
Very attractive set
I hung these from the roof in front of my dormer windows and put a bug light behind shing on them resebling the moon. They have held up even in some strong winds. Only thing if hanging, be sure to secure the hats as they are velcroed on and will pull off.

These little gals were a delight from taking them out of the box to putting them outside on my lawn. The colors are incredibly vivid, and making them poseable is not only a great idea, but really adds to the ambiance. I am so happy I bought these 3 witches. They are one of THE best investments I have ever made; and will last for years to come.
I couldn't believe how fast I received these. When I took them out of the box and put them in my yard, I was absolutely tickeled at their appearance. The colors are so vivid, they are easy to put up and they really stand out from any other yard decor I have purchased. Such a great purchase, I am so glad I saw these 3 gals.
I hung my witches outside my dormer windows with a light shing behind them. Looks they are flying off of my roof. TThey look great...strong wind pulls the witch away from the velcro hat. I pinned the hats to the head and that seems to work.

I ordered these and the first set the black vinyl ran onto the orange vinyl on the witches outfit. The replacement order was fine. I think these would be great suspended in the air like they are flying or hanging from a tree.
from Blairsville, PA
I purchased these witches and used them one Halloween season outside. The faces are made of rubber. The rubber cracked and the stuffing in the faces started to come out. I was so dissappointed in them. As cool as I thought they were, they are very poorly made. You are wasting your money if you buy them. I love Halloween and purchase many Halloween items. My advise, choose something else.
Too much weight for the plastic stakes
from San Jose, CA
The witches are too heavy for the plastic stakes and fall over. I ended up buying wooden stakes and attaching to the plastic. They still leaned over to one side. Not a great product!
great love um!

Returning this item
from Downingtown, PA
Could not use, will be returning. Stakes to hold witches are of cheap plastic - I'm afraid to try to push them into the ground any harder because they will break! If the stakes were of firmer material - a harder, thicker plastic or metal, the witches would look great!
Dont judge a book by its cover
from St. Louis, Mo
Product has bad plastic stakes keep breaking
This could be an outstanding item if it weren't for the plastic stakes. I ended up getting some doll rod, cutting them to size, painting black and just hammered them into the ground and then slid on to the plastic part of the stakes that is connected to the witches body, and it works great. Item looks great and even though I had to do some modifying, I would buy again.
would not buy again

Waited to open them until the evening of Halloween (my mistake). The poles that the witches were supposed to sit on the steaks that go into the ground did not fit. The steaks were too thick for the poles that the witches stand on, rendering the entire set useless. Unfortunately as flimsy as this set was I doubt that the witches would even stay up once they were in the ground.
