Spirit for Schools Program Rules of Eligibility
Effective Monday, April 1, 2013, these Official Rules govern the Spirit Halloween Superstores LLC. Spirit for Schools fundraising program (the "Spirit for Schools Program"). The Official Rules are located on Spirit Halloween's website, SpiritHalloween.com. Spirit Halloween reserves the right to make changes to these Official Rules at any time and to cancel the Program at any time. Please check SpiritHalloween.com from time to time to ensure you are aware of any updates or changes. Your participation in the Spirit for Schools Program indicates acceptance of these Official Rules and your agreement to comply with the Official Rules.
The Spirit for Schools Program is open to the first 75 qualified not for profit accredited organizations which support a public school with 15 or more students enrolled from Kindergarten to 8th grade. The organization must be a charitable organization qualified under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The school and organization must be located in the United States or Canada and be organized and primarily operated for educational funding purposes.
Spirit for Schools Program Overview
The Spirit for Schools Program allows your organization to earn cash by making purchases within the specified timeframe using a discount code unique to your school. Total purchase, not including taxes or shipping, at Spirit Halloween stores or SpiritHalloween.com will be discounted by 10% with coupon. In addition, 10% of all sales, up to the maximum fundraising amount set forth below, made with the unique coupon code will be given back to the enrolled organization in the form of a lump cash payment.
Each eligible organization participating in the Spirit for Schools Program may earn up to, but not exceed, $5,000 cash per school year. Minimum amount sent as a payout is $10. If the minimum is not met, no donation will be sent.
Redemptions and Program Deadline
To redeem Spirit for Schools Program coupons, complete the online enrollment form at SpiritHalloween.com. Enrollment must take place no later than Friday, October 4, 2013. All enrollments are subject to verification and approval. Completion of the enrollment form does not guarantee participation in the Spirit for Schools Program. Only the first 75 qualifying organizations are eligible to enroll. Spirit for Schools Program coupons must be redeemed on or before Sunday, October 20, 2013.
Coupon Redemption Guidelines
Spirit for Schools Program coupons that have been defaced, mutilated, forged or in any way altered will not be accepted. Coupon may be photocopied and reprinted for distribution purposes. Spirit for Schools Program coupon must be surrendered at time of purchase. Coupons are not applicable on prior purchases or with any other promotional offer, discounted items or associate discount. Limit one coupon per transaction. Coupon discount does not apply to taxes or shipping. If merchandise is returned, the coupon discount will be deducted from the items prior to a refund/credit being issued. Coupons cannot be combined with any other promotional offer. Coupon expires on Sunday, October 20, 2013. Notwithstanding the total amount of coupons redeemed, the maximum donation amount to a qualifying organization shall be $5,000. Coupon has no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash. Spirit Halloween reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time.
Expired coupons are considered void and will not be honored.
Checks will be made payable only to qualified non-profit organizations enrolled in the Spirit for Schools Program. Checks can be made payable to a school PTA/PTO, HSA, or Booster Club, if previously specified. Payments made to organizations are not tax-deductible by organizations, schools, participants or purchasers. Payments will be made once each school year, on or before December 31, 2013. Payments will be made in the full amount owed to the enrolled eligible organization and cannot be broken into multiple payments. The payment will reflect confirmed earnings from eligible purchases made between enrollment and Sunday, October 20, 2013. Schools can earn a maximum of $5,000 per school year. Allow two to four weeks for checks to arrive.
Shipping and Handling Costs
Sales taxes, shipping costs, gift certificates, packaging or handling fees, gift-wrapping services, governmental fees, and certain other charges may not be included in the calculation of the donation amount.
Returns, Refunds and Cancellations
School organization donations are subject to adjustment if for purchased items that are returned, cancelled or a refund is provided to the purchaser by Spirit Halloween.
