This was a perfect outfit for a plus size woman! You definitely need the petticoat and the fishnet stockings to complete the look. Also, make sure u get it in the right size because if you get the 3x/4x to be safe, it's WAAAAAAAY to big. The 1x/2x was a tight fit but it was supposed to be.

Wore it to club on saturday night..and to work...
it was a great costume, fluffy, fun, different, didn't see anyone else with it!....although im not a huge fan the velvet....but all in all, it was an awesome costume!!! would recommend it 100 percent .....I used it as a vampire queen instead of a pirate, it's good because you CAN use it as other things than just a pirate!! 10/10

I purchased 1X, costume fit perfectly, looks great, much better than expected. High quality costume, very cute, and did not feel self-conscious... but very confident! Also purchased the hat, petticoat (wore bike shorts underneath), black fishnets, and a toy pirate gun, and received a LOT of compliments!

I ordered this costume going off of the size chart based on the bust size. When I got it I tried it on and the bust was right but the waist is way too big. If you have a larger bust you WILL need the larger size but if you are close get the smaller size. I love it but now have to get the waist taken in.

I bought this for a Halloween costume party I am hosting. I love it! It has a zipper in the back that makes it easy to get on and off. I love how much the costume covers and doesn't, in all the right areas. The black corset area does not support you at all so it would best to wear a corset top under this outfit if you need to. I am size 18/20 and wear a 1x/2x shirt, so I ordered the 3x/4x costume according to the measurements on the website. It fits well in the tummy area, maybe a little big in some places, but I was afraid the 1x/2x would be too tight. It has a lot of stretch to it and could easily fit someone up to a 22/24. Needs to be steamed from the wrinkles, but thats no problem. Might be a little long in the length if you dont put a petticoat under it. And make sure to buy the hat that matches. Overall, it's a keeper!!

Loved this costume.The skirt was a tad to short for my taste but I put on a pair of spandex/biker shorts underneath and no problem.I've even had requests for friends and family to borrow it.Love this costume!

Dress is adorable. However they run a little small. I wear a 2x and got the appropriate sized one. It is a little tight but not too bad. Also if you have a booty you may not want the petticoat.

I wore this to a Halloween costume party. It was very comfortable and fit great. I tried it with and without a petticoat underneath, and definitely recommend the petticoat look. It's a bit shorter in the back, so be mindful of that when bending over! It's also versatile. I'm wearing it again tonight but this time as a witch. Switching my accessories, adding a cloak and witch hat, and some witchy shoes. I Love this costume!

The only problem is that you need to buy the under skirt. Because otherwise it will be flat. But other than that, I loved it!

I searched and searched for a pirate costume that would actually fit me, yet still be sexy and not dowdy. THIS IS IT!! I did have to put something on underneath, the skirt, it is just a bit short for my comfort, but still I love it. Wonderfully comfy actually but does run slightly small and I had to go a size up.

This is such a cute costume! It is sexy without going overboard. It is well made and with enough give that it immediately felt like a good fit when I put it on from the very first time. It was not constricting in any way and I felt confident wearing it. I would caution, however, that if you have any kind of excess baggage in the rear, you must be careful not to show everything you own to the world...unless, of course, you are less "conservative" than I :) It is a bit short, and the petticoat would probably work well for someone with less booty than I have...I felt that I could go without it :) I will be purchasing something to go under it that will still allow me to leave something to the imagination.

In addition, in my experience I have found that costumes tend to run a bit small in the sizing department, and this too was no exception. I bought it a size bigger than I actually would have bought normally, but am very glad that I did!

Overall, very happy with my purchase! Oh, and buy the hat...it makes the costume!

I like a lot of things about this dress, but it does have a few cons to be aware of:

The torso of the dress is really really long. There's just not enough length on me, at 5'4", to accomodate the zipper, so it ripples up in the back.

The skirt definitely needs a petticoat, otherwise it's flat and doesn't look any good.

Like all these costumes, it probably runs a little bit small.
