This is a fabulous old grave digger, a thoughtful fellow who warns people of corpses and to watch their step. His voice innunciates well; it is easy to understand him. He worked perfectly, and the description of him is accurate. I am very happy with him and he startled people during our Halloween party.

We used this animatronic in our outdoor yard display with a step pad since it will run off batteries. It worked great, dazzled trick or treaters, people even took photos of their kids next to "The Gravedigger". Loved the arm coming up and pointing, we staged it to point to our cemetery. We were very impressed and so were our Halloween guests.

I used this guy in my living room/ cemetery. Looks great. The sound effects are loud enough and the head and face movements are realistic. This prop work just like the video, except I had a problem with his arm. It stopped going back down after a cycle.

The Grave Digger prop was a disappointment in the following ways: It was too skinny, I had to fatten it up by wrapping its entire body in creepy cloth under its clothing. The pants were one piece and no there was no split between the legs...looked like a skirt. His shoes were flimsy cheap light plastic(paper thickness) and attached by velcro. On the back of his neck, the plastic skin was ripped and too much of it was showing. I wrapped that also on creepy cloth after repairing the torn plastic. The weight for the base was too small and the prop fell repeatedly. I will give it this-despite how many times it fell-it still works. There was no way to secure the base because of its design. The sensor was very sensitive and just would keep going constantly-I had to keep it unplugged. This prop was not cheap-I should have shopped longer before selecting it.
I used this prop on an outdoor enclosed porch. It worked well despite the cool temperatures and the fact that it fell from high winds a few times.

Grave Digger has some valuable strengths. The 5' product appears better built than most props in this price range - strong base, strong supports, good wiring job. One of the best voiceovers on the market makes him an attention grabber, as does the animation which appears to wake a safe inanimate prop to life as he raises his head and arm. Eyes flash, mouth moves, arm raises and points.

Important point, comes with an adapter but the only full size prop I've seen that also runs on batteries alone, meaning more freedom in where you put him.

A bit skinny but you can stuff him to plump him up a bit. He runs on a combo sound activator/timer. Loud sounds trigger him, otherwise he goes off every 90 seconds, getting annoying pretty quickly to those within constant earshot. I have to place him a distance from my other talking props so he doesn't speak over them.

Quality is minimal at best. It may last a night or two. It has no framing of any kind to make it look like there is a person in the clothes. The clothes just hang as if on a coat hanger. I had to add modifications to make it look less like roadkill and more like a person. Metal coat hangers bent and zip tied to the post to hold the clothing out at the chest area and a ring of wire stitched around the waist line and some more stuff in the legs and a little batting on the back across the shoulders. I also used black sharpie to give him pupils and a light grayish blue almost dead sharpie to give his irises a spooky look. Now he looks somewhat real.

Spirit store in salem nh was only open a couple days and they did not have this product in stock despite having it on display. They offered to sell me the floor model but at full price. I ended up buying it online and having to pay shipping and taxes. Product a good bang for the buck though overall.

I have it in my yard and he is pointing toward the graveyard display. He is awesome. the only thing bad I can say about it is, being animated you have to take it in during rain.

When I first saw this online I fell in love with it. The video is spot on. It was a little hard to get together. Once I got it together the arm went up like it should & the voice was amazing. Unfortuatly, the head did not work right. I took it to one of the store in my area & had the manager look at it. He said it seemed like it was missing a piece in the neck. He offered to exchange it (if they got them back in stock) or return my money. I returned it the other day. I will, if you still carry it, purchase it again. Even though I had a problem with it I would highly recommend it.

I love this guy! I bought him for my Halloween party I am co-hosting. He is going to look great in our walk-thru graveyard. Like the other reviews mention, he is a little skinny looking from the side (about 5 inches wide), but nothing a little stuffing can't fix. His face and clothing are not yellow in color like the picture shows, but are more gray and off-white like in the video. He is set off really easy, so this could be a good or bad thing depending on where you place him. He might be going on and off constantly if you have music playing or people conversing too close to him, and it may become annoying. One of his eyes bugs out pretty far, which adds to the creepiness. It doesn't show his feet in the picture, but they are made of flimsy plastic and are attached to the pant legs so you cannot pull the shoes down all the way. They kind of just stick straight up in the air. It would be best to either detach the feet from the pants or to stick a tombstone in front of him like in the picture. Other than that, he is going to be a great addition to the party!

A few thing I didn't like about this product. . 1).His right arm that rises to point out where the graves are in the video doesn't rise as high as it does in the video,(just moved a enough to look as if he's pointing to the ground) or mine is just broke. You do have to bend the arm stright down before operating it because it's arms are crossed in the package so it fits in the box. 2)his legs are not solid, they are just cloth that drops down after you set him on a poll that keeps him straight up. 3) Falls over if you dont have him on a very flat serface, the plastic wedges don't help to much. The plus side of it is that he looks good, a little different from the pics, his face is more of a scared up look.Works well with his mouth matching his sayings. All and all it is ok, but not worth the price, even with 20% off. I would recommend at 50% off.

I ordered this guy over a month ago! The 1st guy came and his mouth didn't work. Spirit sent me another and that guys eyes didn't light up! Well Spirit sent me another! Now this guys head is smashed in and his mouth doesn't open up fully but I'm afraid to send him back because I might get another broken one and this guy was the best out of all 3! Very dissapointed in Spirit this year!

this is a great piece. Looks great, easy setup. Only issue I have with it is the optional foot switch will not activate it. It may be a problem with the 3 position switch on the unit.

A great addition for our graveyard scene. A lot of pieces say sound or motion activated, but they take a lot to actually set them off. Not with the grave digger which makes him one of my favorite pieces because I don't have to worry about whether or not he is actually going to work.

It goes together easily but the motor is very light for the arm and I wanted to swap out the gloved hand but when I put a latex hand there the motor strained so I took it back off.
I would like to see another motor with more push built in. This is a good working prop and I took it apart and added stuffing and dirtied him up so he doesn't look like he just came out of the box. I'll know more after he runs for the next month or so leading up to Halloween.

I returned the flesh eating zombie and bought this grave digger prop best buy ever. It looks and sounds real. it is going to fit nicely in my grave yard that has about 30 tomb stones and 2 fog machines.
