i put this up in my home haunt and worked great. two nights leater is started wiging out. after halloween i took it in my house and it was working again. It turns out it was to cold out side i acsidently put it in two cold weather. SO GREAT PROP BUT THERE MENT FOUR 39 DEGREESE AND WARMER!

Cool looking spider, can't wait to scare people in our haunted house. Main body doesn't sit perfectly level, but I think that may add to the creepiness. I run a small haunted house, and I'm hoping the motor holds up to 40+ runs each night for 3 nights straight . I don't scare easily, ( go figure) but it got me when I was hooking up the foot pad activator! (Highly recommended over the motion sensor if its going to be in a DARK place )

Setup the spider only to find that it was mounted completely sideways! Not just a little tilt, but a full 90 degrees on its side. Because its mounted to the rail, you cannot "work" it back to being upwright.

I called customer service and exchanged this one for a new one. Their customer service is very friendly, by the way. Now after opening the new one, it not only had the exact same problem as the original with it being completely sideways, but one of the LED eyes was broken off from the face. I plan to just return it. This would be an awesome prop but its not worth going back and forth only to keep getting a poorly constructed item.

I love this spider. It startles me every time. What I love most about it is that it does not jump right away. Your anticipation builds and just when you think "that's all" it pops out at you!. Got it during the save the spiders sale. Otherwise I probably would not have paid full price for it.

The spider is very unobtrusive and when it jumps it comes as a huge surprise. I've gotten myself with it a couple of times and I know what it's going to do.

It tends to move from where you put it because of the jumping motion, so you'll need to secure its base.

This is a great scare, well worth the money. I like it so much I've gone back and bought more to spread them out. I rarely buy more than one of something so I consider that high praise.

Bought this last year. Set it just outside the sliding glass door but put the foot pad inside under a throw rug. Got everyone! Love it!

Spider has been attached completely wrong..it is sideways( severely over to the left) on the plastic arm that lifts it up. No matter what you do it will not stay upright! I suppose if its dark enough it won't look so bad.

Got him at the Blaine Spirit Halloween Store.Got him home - works great.Put him on three foot stump so when people walk by he will jump up at them.I also put a lot of spider webs around him so people wouldn't see him as easily as they walked by. It was a lttle delicate outside in the fall weather. I got a lot of good scares out of him at the end of my cornfield display.I will be using him for" years to come.

Got it at the Blaine Spirit Halloween with a 20% off coupon. Put it up and works great. Put him on a tree stump in at the end of my cornfield display.I also had spider webs around him so people could not see him easily. I had him 3 feet off the ground so he would be the height of most people. Got alot of good scares out of him. Also had a screw on strobe light next to him which gave it a cool look. I will use him for years to come.

This is absolutely awesome. One of the best sensors and can be positioned on the ground or screwed above a doorway. Alkaline batteries had it running all night with over 200 scares. You do need to reposition the legs after every few jumps but this is not a problem. Never fails to scare, my kids said that they could hear the screams streets away.

I was so excited when I un-wrapped this prop under my Christmas Tree with Grave Mourner, Ol' Gramps, a leftover Life Sentence, Stabby Zombie Baby, Baby Fat, the Knifed Rat and Snack Time zombie baby. He will be so great in my 2013 Halloween display. The only thing is that when I took him out of the box, it was hard to get his caccoon all turned right because it got all messed up in the box, and he is still crooked, but I don't think anyone will notice. Next year, I will have him behind a coffin so you cant see him, with a footpad hooked up and out in the open, and when people walk past the coffin, they'll activate him and he will jump at them. He's a great startling prop, and a great prop all together.

this spider is great,scared the kids as well as adults get the step pad with this spider when they step on it is a slight delay which makes it look like nothing is going to happen then jumps. i put 2 regular spiders with it so no one could tell which one would do anything.

placed the item in the an open closet it did the job wish it was glowed under a blacklight and it came with a stand had to tape it down to a heavy box cause it would fall off if not secured down

The spring activated jumping action and loud sound effects are second to none. I still jump every time the thing goes off, even when I know its coming. I do recommend the foot pedal activation rather than motion or sound activation unless you are using it purely with an older age group as it may be too much for the littlest trick-or-treaters.

I used this awesome spider on Halloween night on my porch which I have lit up with UV 'tubes' and strobes with a fog machine and it scared everyone.
I was very happy with my purchase.It works great with the Step Pad activator I bought for it.I would recommend picking one of these up when buying this since the 'eye' requires sufficient light to work.

The product is great but needs to be user adjustable, the spider can NOT be made to sit strait on the mount.

We put this on our back porch near the door and hid the foot pad under the rug. It scared alot of people. Pretty cool!

This is a great addition to my yearly Halloween graveyard yard display that adds a WOW factor. The jumping spider will be used Trick-or-Treat night to trick unsuspecting trick-or-treaters as they approach the animated butler for their treats. This thing startles me every time even though I manually trigger it to jump. Great prop. Use of step pad reccomended- motion sensor is not very sensitive.

We actually use this prop in a haunted house. Best used when you can make the customer stay close to the prop so when it jumps it works the best. One of the best features is that when you touch the foot pad it jumps almost immediately. One of our top attractions.

I previously bought the tabletop jumping spider and was so pleased with the reaction I got from him that I also purchased this larger version. He works great (and is extremely loud). It definitely scares everyone that walks by. The only bad things I would say are that you need to put something heavy on the base as the whole prop jumps when it goes off and won't stay put. Also if you were able to use a wall adaptor instead of batteries that would be much better.

Very very startling to ALL age groups. Poseable to a great looking realistic stance. It's very loud too which adds to the fright factor. Cons? Motion sensing does not work, buy the foot pad, that works great! A good clap will also get it going. The spider was glued on the mechanism off center making the whole thing lean to one side, but the posable wire legs compensated. I give it a solid A!
