Really gets the "scary hovering ghost" just right! I would suggest the power cord or several thousand AA batteries as it seems to be ON all the time using a lot of power.

Awesome Ghost moves great and sounds fantastic. Was a big hit at the party. Great addition to my huge Halloween decoration supply.

The only thing negative was we had to put a weight on it so it didn't tip over...no biggie.

I really like the movement to this prop. The sounds terrified my dogs. I hope it does the same for some of my neighbors when my yard haunt is complete on Halloween eve! Not at all a bad prop for the price, especially when using a discount code. :)

I like the way it moves. Great for halloween. Package said batteries were included, but they were not. My cats hate it, but that makes it all the more fun! Friends jumped but love it! Overall, it's a good buy & pretty cool!

This thing is pretty cool. The movements it makes are eerie. Sound effects are top notch.
The official Spirit Halloween description concerning its size, however, is bogus. It says "Nearly 4 feet tall!" when it is actually closer to 3 feet tall (it is 39 inches). I suggest putting it on some type of stand or someting with white draping to prop it up and give it a bit more height.
I gave the Hovering Ghost only 3 stars because of its smallish size, cheap extension rod mechanism and because I think it is over priced.
It is a great effect, though.

Plan to use for the outside graveyard display.
But not to leave outside during rainy forecast weather days. Bring back in house at those times.

I was originally a little disappointed that he wasn't more stable so I could put him out in the yard. But I now let this little guy hover just behind me in the entranceway while I'm handing out candy. I've even been able to time it so that it appears that I'm talking to him and that he's reacting. The kids love him.

This is a fantastic prop! This ghost is well worth the money and if put in an unexpected place, it will scare everyone very well! Its pretty easy to set up and looks great in our basement haunted house.

Great idea. Wish it had worked. The eyes didn't light up and the hydraulics made a loud clicking noise. I'm disappointed that I had to return it. Would have loved it otherwise.

We used this last year and will be using it for years to come! This ghostie has get movement and extends up higher than you would think. It may be a little loud for inside, but outside it is perfect (under supervision and good weather conditions)!!

I purchased this to go in our Church's Haunted House in Oct 2010. It went over great. We put it in a doorway with the step pad in the hallway. We placed a black light above the door frame and it gave the ghost a creepy look. Everyone loved it. It scared quite a bit of people. I don't know if it was the actual ghost or the unexpectedness of it. Overall a great purchase and I would recommend purchase.

I was dissapointed with this. I wanted to run it on batteries but they died after an hours use and they were fresh batteries. Next year I'll purchase the adaptor. I wish they had had in on display in the Spirit Store where I bought it. Sound is WAY too loud and poor quality. Don't know if I'll use it next year.

Easy to set up (my 11-year old son set it up). Worked everytime. Scary, but too scary for younger kids.

At first when I received the box, I thought to my self this is a very small box for a 4 foot swaying ghost. Much to my surprise after a quick 5 minute build, this little guy springs to life, and sent my kids and my dog running from the room. It's a bit loud for a small space, but works great in larger rooms and in a covered location outside. It's light weight so even a slight bump from a child or animal will knock it over, or if outside a stiff breeze will shake him around a bit, I had to put garden stakes on both sides of his feet to keep him grounded. Overall a great little ghost.

This was a great value. The movement is unique, many commented on the way it appears to float out at you. Put a sandbag on base to keep it upright.

This was GREAT! When you get it you need to change the batter right a way. The new batter made it more alot more. Having just a litte bit of sound to set it off was just great. Some of the smaller kids wouldn't come to the door with this one. Really really cool! Well worth the money on this one.
