This Speed Racer costume is so cute! I love how it looks like an outfit instead of a costume (2 pieces--not a jumpsuit). The white pants are typical white pants, so make sure your little guy doesn't wear boxer briefs with bold pictures on them! The mask broke when he fell on it, though I don't know that that's much different from most masks... and it is a mask, not a helmet, as it may seem from the picture. My son loves it, though, and the price was great with the online coupon! Go, Speed Racer, Go!

I just wanted to agree with the previous review. We just got the costume in the mail. I'm a little worried about the shirt being tight when we get a sweatshirt under it (because it will be cold in Illinois) otherwise it fits well. The previous reviewer was right with it not being a zippered shirt, the zipper is just printed on. I thought the helmet was a bit cheesy too but my son is so excited he seems to love it and doesn't seem to care. He hasn't taken it off yet.

This is a nice costume, but the picture is misleading. The shirt is not zippered and has an open v-necked front. The helmet was disappointing. It is not as pictured and does not cover the child's head fully. From the side, the helmet looks funny as only the front half of the head is covered with an elastic strap around the back.
