Comments about Collapsible Fabric Coffin Prop:

Making a vampire lair in my haunt and needed a coffin. The selection is sparse and some of the offerings are pretty pathetic. This one seemed interesting so I gave it a try. Don't really regret getting it but not sure whether I can use it as it is actual size and a little large for the small room I was going to display it in. My main complaint is that the coffin walls are fortified with cardboard instead of a metal frame and this gives the coffin a rather sloppy look. The lines defining the classic shape are not clean and straight. Being something of an artist I did try shaping the "walls" of the coffin to make them straighter but just ended up looking a bit cheap and frumpy (the coffin I mean). Tomorrow I will go pick up some properly sized panels of thin but sturdy wood and replace the cardboard with that in hopes of improving the overall look. I might also try using some black paperboard or whatever you call that really thick posterboard and cutting out my own exterior and then setting this down inside for a nice interior. Final thoughts are that it is an interesting piece if your standards are on the cheesy side but if you want realism like I do you may have to do some crafting.
