This 12 LED Ultrasonic Mist Maker Creates mist via a rapidly vibrating small ceramic disk. Low voltage - only 20W. The safety U.L. listed transformer operates on household current and has a 6 ft. power cord with polarized plug. There is a another thin cord from the transformer to the mist unit which allows placement some distance away from the power source.
- The mist unit can produce a dramatic mist effect in 1-1/2" (40mm) of water and it is perfect for indoor use.

Works great when initially plugged in, but seems to sputter out. It doesn't stop working, but it hardly produces mist after 30 minutes or so. The LED's look really accent the mist maker nicely. And the cord has a built in stopper/plunger in case you want to drill your own hole in whatever bowl you use so you can hide the cord.
Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
The unit would not stay in one place, the cord kept making it turn. Hard to get water level right and keep it....too much-it won't mist and wants to float, not enough-it won't mist at all.

I used this in a small caldron on a small table outside where I was sitting, but was having some issues with it because I would periodically have to pull them up out of the water and hold them for a few seconds and then put them back in because they would slow down their production of mists after a little while. I had originally bought only one, but had o drive to the next town over to buy a second, and am thinking I should have bought three. I was wanting to set up a cauldron that would look like it was full of magic brew on my front Lawn since I am the Blue Witch every year, but did not get the desired effect I was hoping for. I resorted to using two of these in a small black cauldron shaped candy bowl that would sit on top of a desk or something, but wish it was a bit bigger and a bit more powerful than this, or atleast put out more mist. I like the idea of using water instead of having to buy Fog Juice, but just cannot hold a candle to a true fog machine. Also if you do not use the splash guards because it does come with one, you will have a watery mess to clean afterwards, I had to do without because I had two running in the same bowl.

Yay! Today is November 1, 2011 & my Spirit store had 3 of these left & I was lucky enough to snatch one of them & get it for only [$]! For [$] this mist maker is awesome. Color-changing LEDs really help the mist seem more spooky & realistic. A great buy & looks good in an ordinary black plastic cauldron!
Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
Not worth it if it doesn't do what it is suppose to.
Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
i saw this alot and did the same with seeing what other people did. i put mine in a small cauldren about 10 inches wide. i did not use the splash cover as having it off makes a soothing bubbling sound and an awesome spooking effect almost like boiling water. HOWEVER DO NOT STICK YOUR FINGERS OR ANYTHING ELSE NEAR THE MISTER WHEN IN THE WATER AND ON. does not feel great. but really makes a cool effect in my kitchen.......my kitchen is mad scientist/witch lab. wish i could post a picture. also small note, you cannot use this outside.
Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
Was going to use in a cauldron but did not produce enough fog for the correct effect. The lights worked great!
Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
It doesn't make much mist at all. Doesn't even make enough to hide the unit and the light mechanism
Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
This is super awesome i am buying more for sure
Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
Mister is well made, but to get it to work for an extended period requires engineering. It needs a system to keep the water level just so (too deep, little fog, too shallow, shuts down). It also needs a feeble fan to carry the mist away. After awhile it gets dirty, and no amount of cleaning will restore its performance, even when I use distilled water. Recommend, yes if you are the engineering type.
Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
Nice little item, but haven't been able to make large quantities of mist....might be better under low lighting - high lighting seems to make the mist largely invisible....
Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
Very small but very effective! This is worth every penny! Best of all, it uses tap water!!! You could use distilled water but tap water makes a thicker mist ( at least I think so ) Its great for putting in a small plastic cauldron and setting on a mad scientists desk scene. It looks great when the fog spills out of the bowl, cauldron, ect. Overall a great product. Get one before they are sold out!!!
Go Spirit!

I wasnt expecting movie quality mist, but I did expect it to work! The lights are a nice touch but no mist at all.

Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
Light mist and a little messy about a foot outside where the bubbling comes out. Listen, it is not expensive so don't expect a huge fog. Have it coming out of a skull the wife bought to serve candy out of....so now there is a bubbling mist coming out of a skulls head. Good addition, not a show stopper. For the money, I would buy again.

I set it inside a larger cauldron over a Christmas light fake fire. I had bones and bugs and skulls hanging out in the mist and it is great!

Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
I Bought more than one of them to use in a water fountain we have on the Porch. It is a long-ish fountain and I have one on either side of the water stream... They look awesome!
I wish I had bought a few more as I was a bit disappointed by the amount of steam and how well the device can be spotted in the water... Surrounding it in marbles or decorative glass beads might help that. It is also a bit windy, having them in a fully enclosed porch or even inside might remedy that as well... And also perhaps just having more of them.
BEST PART: I didn't consider the reflection on the ceiling of the Porch before I ordered and with the hanging bats it looks really cool! That was a really neat bonus. I was very glad I ordered them.

This mist maker is perfect for indoor use. And you don't have to worry about the dangers of using dry ice! The color changing is awesome. Makes it look like there's really something brewing in the witch's couldron! Well worth [$]

Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
Planning a Halloween wedding event and this is a great alternative to using dry ice, for that "bubbling" cauldron effect. I did not realize it had the "changing color" feature.I tried it out and it works great - starts quickly. I will probably purchase another one, as this date will now be my anniversary every year, besides being "Halloween" my favorite "holiday". I can't wait until I can see it in the cauldron and my guests reaction at my upcoming wedding, on Halloween this year - 2010!

This little mister is great for my witch's cauldron. The color changing makes it perfect for night time use. And for the price, it does a fantastic job.

The Mist Maker is a great little device. I bought it to add to our Halloween set up. It worked out pretty good. It would of been alittle better if it was alittle more powerful.
Thank you!

Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
I really like this item got it about 2 years ago use it from time to time no matter what time of the year. Dealing with the color changes wish there was a setting to set it to a set pattern the lights seem to change really fast. But other then that its a good item.

in a water small yin/yan type fountain in kitchen, the midst and lights adds dimension to the smallness of the fountain, and babbling, soothing sounds. Makes for awsome relaxation and date night in...

Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
I bought one two years ago and really liked it. Caution if the fogger in not in deep enough water or in a small bowl the area around it tends to get misted with water so I had to constantly keep area dry and away from food and wood furniture as I did not have a better container. By using a wider/deeper container you can avoid this. I am going to buy two more this year to use in my witch's cauldron and indoor halloween dinner buffet.

Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
I created a fog illusion from my punch bowel by using this. I used two seperate bowels and put the unit in the bigger bowel with water, then made a little stand to put in the bowel and put the smaller punch bowel inside the bigger one. It made it look like fog was coming from the punch.

Comments about Spirit Mist Maker:
This will not roll out a ton of fog. It will add a nice effect for a dinner table like putting it in a punch bowl, or just in a bowl of water, 4 inches deep. Mine came with a light effect that changed color as it made fog. I didn't want changing color light, just be aware of that feature if you're thinking of buying. All in all, it's not bad ... since I bought it with a post-season discount.
