As a collector of animatronics, I must say that this one is pretty good. My only real problem is that the face sculpt isn't that great and it doesn't look too much like Karloff. Other then that it's great-Well built, very tall, and a classic monster.

ITS ALIVE! he is HUGE. Got him the day after halloween, and I love him. He will be great in my mad scientist lab. He durable, and really tall. He is different because he is not from a recent horror movie like Friday the 13th. Get him before it's too late!!

We modified the old Gemmy Monster, even put a Frankenstein "Cap" on him, but he just did not look the part. This guy looks fantastic in our Home Haunt Laboratory. We put a green LED spot on his face,the sound of a storm and lightning on the semi-clear roof of the lab. The only remaining improvement would be a better, more appropriate Dr. My Shivers is broken anyway - ready for a replacement Spirit!!!

This product was everything I imagined and more. Very high-quality, great sound effects, lights, the whole shebang. To my surprise, it even has springs for legs so it can shrink down for easy storage. If it was cheaper, I'd have two - one indoors and one out to scare unsolicited visitors. Love it!

Overall this is a decent prop. I have to agree with one reviewer regarding the likeness (or lack of) to the Boris Karloff monster. But, I did notice one thing that helped improve "it". The eyes were weak looking, and noticed there wasn't enough black circles. I didn't want to use anything that would hurt the latex? face, so I found some black (powder) eye shadow and dusted it around it's eyes. Still not Boris K, but definitely a big improvement. Thought this may help some of you in case you hadn't thought of it.

This looked great when we saw it in the Spirit store, but it even looked better when we put it in our home, the size really shows up well.

If you use external lighting this looks best with a green light. Due to the lights in the bolts you could get away with it in the dark.

Arm raise up to a horizontal position so be sure to plan that into where you put it. Not only is it tall, but also the "arms width" needs to be taken into consideration. We had to move this from where we originally wanted to put it because we failed to consider the arms when activated. Not a complaint but a pleasant surprise.

With the proper lighting the prop looks realitic and scary. Neighbor kids loved it!!! Excellent quality for the price.

While it is nice to see a retro Frankenstein anything, every thing about the figure is disappointing. It is a licensed Universal/Boris Karloff piece, yet looks absolutely nothing like Karloff. It is cheaply made and flimsy. Seems prone to quick breakage. The [$] price tag is absolutely astronomical, all things considered.

This is the best Spirit prop for 2011 for a variety of reasons: he is quite imposing at 6.5 ft. tall, a height that few props can even come close to. His smooth movements and quiet motor make him realistic beyond belief. Although Gemmy, the manufacturer of this prop, may be delcining in selection, their more high-end props continue to carry on their reputation, if only slightly, as the best in the business: as in having the most durable props, if nothing else. All in all, although Frank comes with a hefty price tag, always keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Big price, but extremely heavy-duty in constrcution, especially compared to these cheap piece-of-plastic props that Spirit sells nowadays.

I absolutely love this item. It is so real looking and scary when it makes its noises and lifts its arms. I am so looking forward to Halloween night and seeing the kiddies scream.. It is put together so good and just looks awesome. I can't say enough about the look of it...it's breathtaking......

THIS PROP TRUELY IS LIFESIZE, LOOKS VERY LIFELIKE, I WISH HE DID MORE THAN MOAN BUT A VERY LARGE AND DETAILED PROP. HE IS A LITTLE PRICEY BUT FOR THE SIZE HE IS WORTH IT. I REALLY HOPE THAT THIS IS THE FIRST OF MORE UNIVERSAL MONSTERS, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK......LOOKS GREAT WITH MY COLLECTION

My favorite time of year is Halloween. I continue to add to my collection each year. This is my third animated prop but, for sure the best!!! "Frank" looks absolutely perfect on our porch. The neighborhood children have all come by to meet him and love him....a few toddlers were tenative.
"Frank" is nicely padded making his strength more believable...his coloring makes him stand out nicely from the street...we enjoy how both his eyes and neck bolts light up....
Definitely happy with our newest addition....

This latest addition to the Spirit line is really nice. The only set back is it only has 2 sound features. @ [$] it is a bit pricey for the budget shopper. Overall it is great. had to have it... Hope to see Dracula, Wolfman, and others of the Universal Monsters

It is sad that for the cost of this; it is a HORRIBLE likeness to the real Boris. The eyes and shape look NOTHING like the original one. Sorry that Universal actually let this be licensed. Cheap. Any true fan and collector will be disappointed in the likeness and quality. Do not waste your money. How dare they charge [$] for this chidrens toy. MSad.

This boris karloff Frankenstein, is amazing, and is great, for placeing in a laborotory, and starting experiments, with it!

This would look great, in a home haunt, a halloween party, and even a haunted house, and also can be used, to scare kids, and adults, from getting, the candy!

Also this has two modes, one is sensor activated, so when kids and adults, come next, to it, and also the motion activated mode, where you press the button, on the base, and he comes to life, scareing those, around him!

Also the detailing, is amazing, which matches, what he looks like, the bolts, pants jacket shirt, and everything else, including his head, looks great, and his eyes, and also his boots, look great too, as well, which looks great too!

He also comes with a wire adapter, and also which can plug into the wall, nicely, so it activates him, and when he is brought to life, he will scare kids, and adults, around him!

When activated, the bolts in his neck, will light up, as well, as his eyes, and his head, will turn side to side, in a creepy way, and his arms, will move up and down, and he will grunt, and make noises, and the voice, will also say, it's alive, while it raises it's arms, and also it will impress everyone, with it's movements!

The paint is amazing, the pants are black, like they are supposed to be, as well as the jacket, it's green, and looks really realistic, and the shirt is black, as well, underneath the green jacket, and also the boots, are black, giving it a great scary look, and also the black hair, and the green skin, look great, as well too, and the buttons, are well made, also!

So if you want to scare the kids, and adults, at your next halloween party, then you must pick him up, his movements are both frightning, and scary, at the same time, and also will give you a chill up your spine, and will scare guests, and adults, trying to get candy, and it's also, a must have, for anybody!
