Vest ripped the very first time I tried it on at home. I'm not a big girl I only weigh 118 and I'm 5 foot 3. I ordered it online so I wasn't able to check it out since most of the stores did not carry it and those that did only had large. This tear cannot be repaired unless it is unstiched but with still be difficult because it looks as if the material was cut too short. I was not able to exchange it since it was so close to Halloween. I did notice that the one they had in the store also had a rip but i thought it was just that one. Well i was wrong! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! Otherwise cute costume

I bought this costume for a Halloween party and going trick-or-treating with my daughter. The quality is great and I love all the details in the costume. Skirt did not seem as high as it looked in the pictures and i'm 5'9". I was looking for something that looked good but not too sexy and this is perfect.

The outfit was very nice. The dress was not as short as the picture looks, for which I'm very happy. Normally when they are as short as that I use it as a shirt instead of a dress. But I was very pleased and I received many stares with it. I'm a busty lass myself but the vest makes it more noticeable. I liked that the vest was separate and not attached like other pirate style dresses so you could shape it to you. Many people appreciated it and I had many take pictures of the whole outfit. Just be sure to buy a hat and sword to go with the look, and have high boots.

I tried this on in the store and it fit pretty good. I have an hourglass figure (large rack, small waist, wide hips) so I usually have to upsize to a plus size but this doesn't come in plus size. The large fit fine though and since the vest has a ribbon, you can adjust the size so there shouldn't have been any problems. Except there were. The fabric overlay on the vest is really cheap and just pulls away from the seams. I fixed one rip, the one I didn't notice was there until I purchased it and brought it home. After I wore it for a party, there were two more! I mean, this is ridiculous! A costume this expensive should not be tearing so easily. And the party was mostly a stand around, drink, and visit party. Nothing too crazy. I'm hesitant to buy this brand again.

I had bought this costume in store for Halloween, I brought it home to find out that it was shredded at the seam on the vest. So I had to return it hoping that there was another in my size there wasn't,so they called other stores in the area, no one had a medium. They also, checked online...SOLD OUT! UGH! I thought. I was disappointed but figured it wasn't meant to be and went home. The next day I was looking online for a different pirate costume I hated everything then I went on the Spirit website and just in that one day they had more come in! I was pretty excited! I ordered it right away. I love it! Its so comfortable and fits great! Thanks for getting more in. I figured I'd Have to settle and didn't have to.

This costume is ADORABLE! Well made, nice details, sexy, but not too revealing... I can't wait to wear it! I'd say it runs true to size, maybe a little small (in the chest/waist). I'm fairly slim- 5'6"/125lbs, and the small fits exactly (with no room for error!). I bought the skull tights and hat shown, and added my own pair of black booties. Love this!
