The size chart is very accurate, err on the large side! Also, this is pretty short, so if that makes you uncomfortable at all, i got nude nylons to wear with it for that added coverage. The hat was cheap looking and too small and my head isn't very big. I ended up using the scarf in my hair instead (as a headband, used a bump-it behind it), very 60's Catch Me If You Can stewardess, lots of compliments. :)
