For a youth large, this costume was very small. It was for my grandson and he is small for his age. I almost ordered a medium--glad I didn't.

A fun trick or treat costume for my 8 year old. He wore the same costume a couple of years ago, which has disintegrated in the meantime. This costume, like all of these things, is meant for one or two or maybe three heavy duty activities before it rips or falls apart. The glowing eyes give a good effect, but will undoubtedly break within several hours of use.

One time use costume if you're careful. The glasses are so cool but so fragile. They only lasted part of the evening. But knowing this may happen ahead of time my ten year old had a great time in this costume.
