This was a great prop for my Halloween porch "scene". She stood in the corner of my porch, with a smoking cauldron in front of her. The kids loved it. As another reviewer said, there were strings from the "cloth" portions all over, so it took some clean up when it came out of the box. The broom is pretty hard to straighten out and the paint comes off the foam handle easily, but I had a lot of positive comments about it. She is more like a "coat tree", as she has only shoulder pads and a ring around her waist with cloth hanging off it, to make her body form. The eyes did light up and she talked when "set off" by sharp, loud noise (clapping hands or kids stomping up the stairs). I stored her in the garage for a couple days and she startled me a couple times, when I forgot she was out there.
I've been wanting a witch for my porch for years and willing to overlook some of the "cons" because this witch made my porch complete!

We bought this witch 2 years ago and since then we have been fixing it. First the stand broke, so we added a metal pole to make it more stable and sturdy. This worked for awhile, but with a good wind the base ripped! Thats right the base is made out of layers of paper and after gluing the metal pole into it TWICE, the next thing to give way was the base. Now I seat here one and a half weeks before halloween trying to figure out another way to fix it to last until Nov. 1st. We spead alot of money on halloween and buget for it all year, I have no extra money or time to buy another cheaply made witch. I say buy it but only if you use it indoors and if you have money to waste.

I wanted scary when I bought this witch, when I received her she was cute! Not for me or my party.

I had been shopping around for a life size animated witch when I settled on this one. I really like her colors...I wish she did more animation than just her eyes turning red when she speaks, but I do like her. When I took her out of the box, her foam nose was crushed and has remained that way...sorta adds to her creepy look I guess. She needs filling out (I used bubble wrap underneath)...otherwise she looks anorexic.

Arrived in working condition. Needs about an hour of fluffing and using a tape lint brush to remove the huge amount of lint and threads that were all over the costume and to cut off the excessive amount of hanging threads. Looks best with upper body stuffed with tissue paper. Would only use full time indoors or outdoors on a good weather day. Sound activated with a "clap" from a few feet away. Stand is typical plastic base with 3 piece metal pole.
I purchased this at full price and I'd suggest waiting until you can use a 20% off coupon or get free shipping considering the time you need to spend cleaning the prop up.
Overall I like the red and brown color combo of the dress, her facial expression, posable hands and she has a great witchy voice. She will work well in my entry way displayed with my halloween spell books and other witchy props.
