Energy efficient, does not get hot. Makes clothes and objects in "Neon" or Flourescent colors glow and Pop out!.Much better than CFL bulbs: run cooler, less delicate and contain No Mercury!

The light works well and offers more of a spotlight. It does produce a fairly good black light but not as good as the traditional fluorescent bulbs. Keep in mind it is mutliple LED's that produce the light so you do get a ring effect from this but not a big deal for me. I don't recommend the cheap incandescent they sell as it puts out almost not light and really is a joke.

Just bought a few of these and I was really impressed by the quality and brightness. I was expecting less for the price but was pleased to find that not true.

First of all, beware of the angle you need the light at. I tested the product in an upright light stand so the light just shot up to the ceiling.
Secondly, I don't know why people are posting reviews that this is a black light, IT IS NOT A BLACKLIGHT! Or at least it is so weak that it PALES IN COMPARISON to this one http://www.spirithalloween.com/product/Screw-in-Anywhere-Black-Light/
