As it arrives, it's shiny and new...not the way a pirate should be!
To worsen the wear look, soak it in strong tea. Try brewing 10 bags of black tea in the kitchen sink with hot water, allow to cool to warm and throw in the top and pants, let set for a few hours stirring occasionally. This will take the newness down a notch. Hang dry in the shower.
Throw away the sub-par eye patch they give you (for emergencies?) and toss the red ribbon unless you can find a use for it (tourniquet?).
The shirt is ok and the whole thing is breathable. The boot covers look ok too. My only complaint is that the pirate pants are a little low and tend to drop down to bum-crack level. Yes, yes...fine for a pirate, but not for polite company. Hike them up and tape them to your body and you'll be fine. Arrrr!

Overall.. I'll probably darken the white parts more for next time.
Add a hat, bandana, earring, sword (all sold separately) better eye patch and rings and you're set for a night of plundering rum and wenches.
