Its a costume, I don't expect it to be that well made, but good grief! The size runs way too small!!!!! Need to go 1-2 sizes up on this one. Great idea, but needs to be true to size. Thank God you accept returns online and in the stores. The little holes you pull the red ribbon through pops very easily. Its a fun costume. I wish it fit better. I may have alterations done to it. Who knows.

I wore this with black pants and knee-high black boots with a flip down cuff. It was a little longer than I expected, but very comfortable. I could have worn it with a petticoat and leggings, maybe next time. I plan to keep it and rewear again in a couple of years. Jacket zips up the back. Sleeves could be shorter, would get in the way at a buffet-type party.

It is a very cool costume, well made and the fabric is not chintzy. I ordered the 3/4 Plus size rather than the 1/2 (I normally wear a size 22, bra 44D). Good thing, because this costume is very snug, especially in the chest and mid-section. Luckily the velvet fabric is a little stretchy and the red ribbon can be adjusted or removed. It does not include the red skirt so be sure to buy that separately. Also it looks great with the matching Leg Avenue Swashbuckler hat. Ahoy!

Very happy with this costume! I orginally ordered the Gretchen and had to send it back because it was too big. I like this one better because there's more coverage in the upper arm area. I also bought the black plus size petticoat and it really compeltes the costume nicely. The only problem is that the petticoat is shorter than the costume, but I think I'm going to cut it a little bit so it looks better and doesn't hang over the edge of the petticoat like a lamp shade. I ordered the 3/4x size and I typically wear a 1x (18-20). I could have returned it and got the 1/2x and it would probably fit a little better, but I'm running out of time. I will make it work because I really love the costume. I'm planning to wear it with black fishnet stockings, boots, a sword, and a hat. Sooooo cute! My hubby loves it too :)
