I purchased this for my 3.5 yr old and it was very disappointing. The material is made out of felt-like cloth - not sturdy at all. Very fragile. The back has no closure so unless he puts a t-shirt on underneath, then you can see all a wide gaping hole in the back and down to the butt area. I would put a t-shirt on underneath but then it will be very bulky and not look right. It's not that the outfit is tight, just no closure. The pants are also very short - just a little bit below mid-calf. I am afraid this costume will last only an hour - as soon as he starts trying to move around and jump around - the material will certainly tear. Waste of money.
