Great effect--jumped out of the shadows and scared the hell out of trick-or-treaters. OK, well their parents--the kids loved it.

Works better with remote, however the range is very short. Everytime I put it for sound activated it did not worked that great. if you put it on a blocked area the remote doesn't work that great. The sand bags are no good use weights or heavy bricks to hold it down.

We used this outside with the remote. The remote worked very well, even when our two year old grandson used it! We weighted the base with a couple of sandbags, which held it better.

This was pretty good in our graveyard setting. We had a lot of fun with the remote, scaring the trick-or-treaters as they walked up the path. The sounds are pretty good. It's a little small, and I didn't care for the LED light eyes - too bright in our dark setting. Overall, I'm glad we got it. I laughed everytime we got someone good ;)

I use this product on any day when I'm bored at night not just Halloween. He just pops up and scares people its so funny. The remote control it comes with works great and from a far distance. For example I'm in my house upstairs and its out on the drive way and the remote works. It says you can buy a separate foot pad if you want on [@]. There is nothing wrong with this product except that if your rough with it, it may break. Overall AWESOME!

Saw this guy in your store locally and HAD TO HAVE IT! Can't wait till I can put it in my front yard for Halloween this year!!! Love the quick scare tactic! Only bad thing I can say about it is the plastic pipes & how they clip together, I can see future breakage upcoming IF you're not careful when disassembling him, all in all I LOVE this guy!!

GREAT PRODUCT! ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT SANDBAGS DO NOT HOLD IT DOWN. IT HAS A LOT OF FORCE PROPELLING FORWARD. I USED TENT STAKES TO ANCHOR IT DOWN. IT WORKED GREAT. WE SCARED LOTS OF PEOPLE WITH IT.

This was a hit in our graveyard last year and I am sure it will be enjoyed again this year. It is best to cover it or bring it inside when it rains. Ours stopped working when it got wet last year but once it dried out it was fine again. The remote does not work at all but it is great when used with motion, just turn it off an night or the wind will have him popping and screaming all night long. The sandbags didn't work well, we just used rocks to hold it in place.

We paid $[$] for it and it worked all night. The remote setting was OK and it worked on the sound activation some of the time. It got a good reaction from the kids and that's what we were going for. Definately get something heavire to hold it down, the sand bag it came with was not big enough to keep it from tipping itself over. Overall, it's not a bad prop for the price.

I used this in my front yard graveyard in 2008 and had a great time. I decided to keep it on the remote control setting. I kept the remote in my pocket and activated the prop as people were leaving - had some great laughs. Also used it at a party and had one person believing the Reaper was after them. It was effective for all ages. I added some Black Light Spray on the Reaper, used a fog machine and that really helped the atmosphere. I used small weights to keep it in place. Looking forward to 2009 with it.

For your own sakes, don't buy this. Yes, it is a lot of fun and makes a great, inexpensive prop, but at what cost? It broke IMMEDIATELY, before I could even set it up. I tried the mechanism once ("Try Me"), and when it shot up, the plastic shattered into many pieces. This is a total risk, that might be good if you're lucky to buy one that works... But the hassle ain't worth the [$]

This was a great product, for the first 5 minutes. Past the look this thing is nothin more than cheap plastic and worn springs.[...]. The only positive to it is that the remote has a fairly good length to it; if you can keep it in one piece. Bottom line, waste of money both purchasing it and the gas to get there.

Descent product. Can not stand up by itself, and the included "sandbag" is junk. I drilled a hole in each foot mount and used spikes through them, similar to hold up a portable volleyball net. Very cheap overall design, I don't know if it will go strong all Halloween night but we'll see.
Looks cool and moves fast, so the effect will be great if it does not break.

For the price, it's hard to find something that gets such a reaction with the kids. Not too scarey or grotesque for the kids but suprising enough to get parents jumping too.I placed it behind one of my medium sized gravestones in our graveyard. I used some blue flood lighting on the front of the stones which draws your focus on the gravestones but more importantly casts good shadows behind them (to better hide the grave jumper). Add some fog from the fog machine nearby & you have a very well set up prop with tons of fun for those who pass by. The face lights up when activated & the scarey voice is great. I couldn't get it to consistantly work on the sound activated setting but I actually prefer the remote control activation better. I did go to the hardware store & purchase some longer stakes (used bolts) to secure it better into the lawn. [...]

This was a lot of fun to have but had to return one and then another to the store because they would break. The mechanism is made up of delicate plastic pieces that break when the grim Reaper springs forward. Not durable at all. For the first day or two it was a lot of fun to scare people walking by.
