This zombie is awesome! I got him the day after Halloween which made me save a lot of money. The detail on his head is sick. The cuts look so real!!! But the bad thing about it is that his shirt is see through. Other than that great buy.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
i love him took me 15 minuets to put him together and then he came alive. i cant wait till Halloween!!

This zombie rules! I went back to purchase a 2nd one the next day. The face is super detailed and he moves like an actual zombie. The lighted eyes looked super lame so we disconnected that wire and now its perfect.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
i really like it. took me about 15 minuets to put him together and worked right away. i think i am going to keep him set up for a few days just to show my friends!!
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
His head and arms are made of hard plastic and are quite large. Example would be his head is larger than a human head, stands around 6'3", makes lip smacking sounds while he eats a severed hand. I thought he was really cool and got a big kick out of him this year! I added him to my graveyard and he looked great. Cons are that he is light activated only - so that means you need a direct light source ie: red laser light directed at the hole so people break the light beam and activate him as they walk past -or- a strobe light directed at him which is meh, ok, but takes away from his yellow light up eyes and the "surprise" of activation. Personally I think he would be best indoors but I was satisfied with the price and prop in total. He has thin clothes yes - but all props do, they always have. I stuffed him with some newspaper and bubble wrap, makes him look more real.

This zombie fit right into our holiday decor. His face & sounds are creepy.
A couple of issues we had are:
1. We had to do some minor repair to the frame when it arrived.
2. The clothes that come with the zombie are too sheer. You can see thru them and you need to make sure you adjust his clothes frequently or the frame shows.
Even with the issues he did well out in our yard with our other fiends.

Another animatronic added to the collection. I've bought a Jason, Frankenstein and a pirate skeleton-but this one is the worst. It looks cool, but it has no mold around the body-just a cheap metal frame. It broke after a few uses.

Was a great addition to my garage haunted house... I really liked this zombie. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was due to it being light activated. I tried a strobe aimed at it, but It's head would end up facing a different direction after moving. I ended up pointing a flash light at it every once in a while to activate it. It worked but would have been a lot better if it was activated another way or on a timer.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
This zombie is awesome. There are just a few flaws I would have liked to see improved. The light sensor to make the zombie moves doesn't seem to pick up light that well. Even with a strobe light going off infront of it. We kept taking our cell phones and shining then at the sensor and moving it away to get him to move each time. Comes on a frame so you would need to stuff him with something to fill him out or elst he just looks very thin. Other than that he is an awesome decoration and people really freak out when he does move.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
Looks cool, sounds cool, doesn't work. When first set up, this worked like a charm. After an hour or so, it only went off when a flash went off from a camera. Eventually it stopped all together. I was looking forward to using it for years to come, but it didn't even make it through 1 Halloween. Very disappointing.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
Awesome!!! I love this zombie! But they are bad things about it. :/ The wires are made POORLY so you have to be careful but hey, all the Spirit Halloween props wires are poorly made. And another thing, the clothes are see-thru.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
Unfortunately for this guy I had created a "Zombie room" with a green light. The light was not bright enough to attract shadows into the sensor, so it wasn't going off. [& it was already too late to come up with his OWN spotlight] But what did work out really well, was each time my friends went to take a picture with the "still zombie" the flash would cause the sensor to GO OFF! and SCARE them! So it worked out.

The problem with most of these things is the quality of the electronics. Mine had a wire break off the try it connector port and caused the zombie to stop. I soldered the joint better and he works fine. I noticed one broken in the store. Store worker said it seemed to work for a while with a zip tie. More than likely this is a common problem in this design, but a very easy fix.

I am the Halloween Freak in our neighborhood. I have several Gouls. Most of them are one peice and collapse. This Zombie takes an hour to put together including screwing in the support posts. The screws were not in the box. I used sheet metal screws. It did put on one heck of a show. It did not work for awhile because of the sensor is tempermental. If you are willing to take a gamble and spend [$] on this, put it together and never take apart. Cory Rigitello Thornton CO

I was excited to try this out this year. Worked great for about 5 minutes. Then the sensor started going bad. You had to shine a light in the sensor to activate it. After 2 hours, even that quit working. Very poor quality for the money. Don't waste your money on this dud of a prop.

Product has a good look. Clothing is typical of alot of made in china pieces could beef up some additional lightweight clothing underneath. Mechanism is simple and easy to diagnose issues/fix them. Light Sensor location and sensitivity needs to be better.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
I used this prop in a large outdoor display under an enclosed porch. I live in Upstate New York and the weather was very windy and cold some days. It did not effect its operation. Its animatronic design is far advanced from other props I have. I had read the reviews on this product prior to purchase which included: that the prop was not easily activated and the clothing was see through. I agree that the clothing could have been lined but most every single one of my props are that way. As long is it is not in direct sun light it was not transparent. As for the activation of the animatronic, I really was pleased because it wasn't constant and annoying like some of the other props I have.(which I leave unplugged) The sensor is in its mouth was easily activated by a flashlight when I was in demand of showing it off. The assembly was quick and painless and I like the fact that it collapses into a smaller box. My only suggestion for the future is that the base has no weight and needed to be secured- I weighted it down with paving stones which worked effectively...but I was upset that I scratched the metal. I really recommend this prop!
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
Great decoration, realistic movement, cool sound effects, fairly easy to put together. It was a great hit at our parties! Difficult to transport once it is put together because of his size and he is a little delicate. The zombie activates by having a light pass in front of the sensor at the base of his mouth, unfortunately the zombie cycles occasionally stop with the sensor being blocked by the hand he is munching on, making activation occasionally difficult.

What can I say. Felt like Frankenstien putting this thing together. Didn't think it worked but kept shining flashlight over hole in chin and it suddenly moved slowly and came to life. Completely startled me. In fact, every time I walked into the room it was a little shock because it really looks like a man standing there. Now listen up kiddies and dults cause I'm gonna give you all the secret. I put a small shelf on the wall directly in front of it so my victims have to walk between the zombie and the shelf. On the shelf is a small LED flashlight which your guests will think is only there to spotlight the face of the zombie but when they break the beam by walking past he will awaken. Even if they pick up the flashlight (you could tape it in place) he will still wake up. Downside is his head stops in different places so it's only good for a few rounds before you have to make a readjustment. For this reason it is only good in my opinion for limited use where you have complete control over your guests passage and have time to reset between victims. I wouldn't recommend it for widespread use and certainly not for outdoors because they will steal it. It is very lightweight and easy to carry off. The body is basically a wire frame that you have to put together but it is VERY easy and fun. All his electronic wiring is together and you just connect the two like plugging something into a wall. The head and hands are amazing as it looks like a flimsy rubber that would wiggle in movement but it is actually a hard resin type hollow mold. A few other notes. You'll need a couple of heavy duty rubber bands and a clothespin. A rubber band and clothespin will be needed in the back to keep his upper body swaying. Just use the band to anchor the little metal atachment to part of the frame and put the clothespin in front. The band will hold the pin in place. The clothespin holds everything there so his upper body will sway from side to side. They provide a little silver soft metal pin but it's hard to put on and will pop off (repeatedly). Also you'll need a heavy rubber band to wrap around part of his hand at the wrist to keep it from falling off. I had this same problem other reviewer mentioned until I figured out to anchor it with a rubber band. No one can see it as it's hidden under his shirt cuff so it doesn't matter and it's better than his hand falling off (or IS it). With these few modifications I made him MINE and he does what I say or I take his arm snack away! (The arm snack is a seperate piece that fits perfect in the molded grasping hand of the zombie and is soft and stuffed with foam or something -- don't forget to arm him with his snack or he might get ideas!) Anyway, love this guy. Gave him a hug, you will too.

This is a great product when it's in working order. We had to order it online because everytime we went to the store location, we were told, "Sorry, we don't have any in stock, but we have a shipment coming in tomorrow." By the time they finally did get their shipment it didn't even have any zombies in it. I was nervous about ordering online because I had seen a few bad reviews of people recieving defective products from online ordering, but I didn't think I could have that bad of luck. We ordered him and he came exactly when they said he would. I spent an hour putting him together, plugged him in.. and nothing. I tried everything until I realized he had a pintched wire. Luckily, my dad knew how to fix the damaged wire and brought the zombie to life, but I was very angry that I was sent a defective zombie. The product it's self is great though! He's massive, creepy, and a good hugger. We named him Ernie and he is fitting in nicely with the rest of our Halloween Family. I would recommend this product to anyone, but I wouldn't recommend ordering it online.

One of the best animated items that I have bought from the Spirit Store

Looks great, but was not functioning. Spirit Halloween sent me a replacement that also was not functioning. The screws and clasps were not in box making it hard to assemble.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
i put it together and it worked.a hour later it will not...so disapointed in both zombies

Bought this to go in our annual yard haunt. Mine is missing the severed arm that he is supposed to be holding. Also, he requires a very bright light to be activated, which is a negative when he's going to be outside in a dark yard on Halloween. I do like his movement and his "soundtrack".
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
Looks good in the dark, but you really need to stuff his arms, legs and chest to make him looks more realistic. But with a little love and attention to him, he is going to make a good addition to my graveyard this year!
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
The movement sensor needs a lot of light so a shadow can be cast....thats what sets him off.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
Bought this zombie on a saturday afternoon and it was delivered the following wednesday. It is a real neat prop. A little stiff moving but still a nice addition.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
First off if you want a decent looking zombie this is for you. The looks alone make this a worthwhile product. The frame of this is low quality wire. Instead of plastic the manufacturer used a wire frame. The motion sensor is below the mouth and set in too far. You need to shine a flashlight into the hole to get the zombie to react.
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
The zombie is only light activated. He has worked everytime and seems to be holding up great. For the price it is a good buy. My kids are sufficiently freaked out!
Comments about Spirit Life-sized Flesh Eating Zombie Prop:
I am a very low budget Halloween spender so this was my big 'splurge' and it was actually well worth it. The detector only goes off when you flash a light in front of it and the sound is kind of garbled but in the middle of my apartment living room its a pretty cool piece. I dressed mine in one of my Army uniforms and its much cooler than the cheap threads it came with.
Bottom line is this an awesome amatuer animatronic, if your looking for Hollywood be prepared to spend much more to get more
