Great but runs small

I ordered size small 4-6 for my son who is 5 yrs old, 75th percentile in wt and ht. He fit within the "small" range indicated on the Spirit Halloween website, however this costume runs VERY SMALL, making it impossible to get your head through the top neckline/hood (unless you cut open the hood). I reordered a Medium and while long in the leg, we overcame the head opening issue and general tightness.
