I wore this for a costume party at my house. I got tons of compliments. The shorts do "ride up" a little bit, but I wore nylons and felt comfortable all night. I'm glad I read the reviews, bc I would have bought a large normally, but got a medium and it fit great. For reference/self-comparison: I'm 5'8", 170lbs, 36D, size 10 pants, M/L shirt, & size 8 dress.

I had to get a medium as my arms would be too long for a small, but the costume itself is way too long in the torso and doesn't fit snugly at -all-. I'm going to try and find a way to get it altered somehow, which the costume isn't meant for and I have no idea how I'll be able to get it to fit me. I won't wear it all baggy as it just looks awful that way.

Wore the costume to a Halloween party; everyone thought it looked fairly realistic. Only issue was that the costume was supposed to be a 'small'; however, there was a lot of extra material along the upper arms, so I had to hem them. Other than that, great costume. Those people who hadn't seen the movie (or read the comic) suddenly had interest (especially the guys)!

I'm glad I read the reviews. The costume does run large. I have an athletic build, 5'-3" tall, 36-28-36 measurements. By all means, I would never order a XS, but trusted the reviews and glad I did. This costume has a lot of stretch. The costume is meant to be form fitting in order to look authentic. The boot covers are silly and don't work for smaller feet. My own thigh high vinyl boots completes the look perfectly.

I like the costume overall but one thing i did notice is the straps on the side shoulders would come loose at times and maybe because i didnt tie them correctly idk. Also when i needed to go to the restroom I would have to unzip the whole costume cuz it's a jupb suit so it was inconvenient. Also the shorts would rise up a lil so you constantly had to pull them down.

The outfit is very true to the original. The shorts are very short infact my butt hangs out which makes it very reavealing but fine for going to a club, definately needs to be covered if your going somewhere else. The outfit on a whole is sexy especially with the garder belts. The silver belt really finishes off the outfit. The boot covers are kind of wierd, but could possibly be made to work in some way. I have theigh high boots and will be wearing them instead.

This was a fantastic costume! I was nervous that no one but geeky comic book readers would know who I was, but everyone loved it - whether they were male, female, watchmen fans, or hadn't even heard of the comic/movie.

SIZE/FIT:
The size charts put me into the XS category, and naturally from reading the reviews I was worried it would still be too big. It wasn't as tight-looking as the actual one on Malin Akerman (which is frustrating because I'm the same measurements as her), but it was still a great fit. That being said, I wouldn't recommend wearing this costume if you are a LOT bigger than the actress; it REALLY shows off any imperfections in the butt/leg area. Keep in mind that it's unfortunately much more difficult to pull off the superhero look if you're not slim and fit.

SLEEVES:
I found the sleeves were a bit short and there are no gloves included. I'd recommend getting some longer black leather-looking gloves and wearing the sleeves over-top. There was a black strap and 2 metal rings on each shoulder, I wasn't clear on how exactly they wanted me to put it together but I think I figured it out.

ZIPPER:
You can unzip the zipper as in the picture or you can zip it all the way up like she does in the movie. It looks great both ways. It's just a basic black zipper; it's not as cool-looking as the one in the picture but it works.

BOOT COVERS AND BELT:
I read a lot of complaints in the reviews about the boot covers and the belt but I didn't have a problem with either. I wore the boot covers over a pair of black stilettos and it looked amazing. I initially tried it with a pair of black boots but the boots weren't tight enough and it didn't look right. I liked the belt, it's made of rubbery material painted silver. I suppose when you actually feel the material it might feel cheap but it looks great from afar and in pictures.

Overall this was a fantastic costume. I will definitely wear it again. It's different from the usual nurse/cop/maid costumes most girls will show up to Halloween parties in. It's very sexy without the need to be revealing, and it's fresh but it's nothing too out-there. Good luck ladies!

I'm 5'2. This costume us meant for someone who is tall and with massive breast. I usually take a medium. This time I took a small. The bum fits (I have a big bum) but the top fits loose (I'm a B34) I think I may have to take it in a bit to make it fit well.

I usually have a very difficult time finding clothes and especially costumes that I like on myself as I am 5'4" with a pretty small waist but extremely full chested (H) and, not going to sugar coat it, pretty big butt. I actually tried this on in a store and was bummed when the medium was the only size left as typically that is wayyy too tight on certain areas. To my surprise, my sister's surprise, and my friends' surprise, it fits perfectly! If you are going to buy this costume, be aware that it does run large as many have stated. Also, I don't think this costume would look very flattering on more "narrow women." Usually, my curviness works against me, but this costume actually looks fantastic on me. The only complaint I have is that in my opinion, the belt is poor quality whereas the rest of this costume is fantastic. And yes, you will get really warm in this! But if you live in the fantastic tundra of Minnesota like I do where Halloween is usually freezing, it is not bad at all!

I thought this costume was a lot of fun, especially because I got to be a brunette for the day! The boot covers are lame (as all are), if I remember correctly I wore them UNDER my black boots. I loved wearing this, but no one knew who I was! They kept calling be "Bumblebee" and "Charlie Brown" the whole night for a good laugh... jerks... For the few that will recognize you, they'll think you look awesome. :)

This is one of Spirit's most authentic looking costumes and is of good quality. If you are confident and want to make a statement, this costume is for you!

Size: I read many reviews on this costume both from spirit and other websites when considering this costume. The reviews are accurate! Do not follow the size charts when buying this costume! Normally I would opt for a Medium or Large but after reading reviews I bought the small. I am 5'8", 150 pound athletic build and the small fits perfectly! The torso is longer. To help you ladies looking for accuracy, measuring from top of shoulders to groin, the costume stretches comfortably to 29 inches in length. Around the belly button, I measure 33" and there is plenty of room in the tummy area left. I have a 37" bust, C-cup and there is still room to spare in the chest. You can zip it up or down depending on comfort level and to make it fit your body best. If you have a small chest, this costume is not for you because it will be too loose. My hips (around mid-booty) measure 41" and fill out the costume without being too tight. A hands length from my hip bones my thighs measure 24" which is prob the largest i'd recommend for the size small. If you have larger thighs like mine, the shorts may roll up a bit but nothing to be concerned about.

I recommend this costume to shapely, fit women who are able to fill the chest and booty. If you have a smaller, thinner build, this costume probably isn't for you because it will look loose which is hardly authentic.

Boot covers: If you have bigger feet like mine, the boot covers don't stretch well to your shoe size and look silly. The feet almost look boxy. They are nice because the fabric matches the costume and are comfortable. But, if you have the cash I recommend going the extra mile and trying something of better quality. I opted for the thigh-high pleather boots from Spirit and the garters work very well with them. The garters are adjustable.

Lastly, if you are someone who tend to get warm easily, be warned! The pleather fabric is not very breathable. With this, it is also important to know that it is not very forgiving either and will not hide your shape.

I am extremely happy with this costume and think it's one of Spirit's Best!

I wore this costume a few years ago. The style hasn't changed at all nor quality which was a nice surprise when I ordered the smaller size. I was disappointed that they still insisted on packaging the belt with it. This isn't part of either the Comic or Movie version of the outfit. I would have preferred that they had come up with the waist-cincher to be sold with or separately that matched the outfit. I was very happy that it comes with clasps for the garter straps instead of the button and hook type used today for stockings. I was able to use my own leather thigh highs because of this.

Despite the fact that it is considered a "sexy" or "suggestive" costume, it truly is the most accurate version on the market compared to any other brand. What one has to realize is, Silk Spectre's full latex bodysuit in the Watchmen movie is suggestive either way. Your behind will stick out a bit at the back (accurately) and your cleavage will if you zip it as displayed in the preview. When zipped to the neck (as in the Watchmen movie), it still gives off a nice effect. A few things to watch out for: As everyone else has mentioned, it runs big. I ordered an Extra Small (I'm dress size 2-4) and its quite loose in certain areas (but this can easily be fixed). Silk Spectre's costume is latex, and as such is VERY skin tight, so you'll need to make a few attempts to make it work (very easy). The neck/collar area (where you zip up to the neck) will be wide; I have a VERY small neck and have lots of room. Again, this can be fixed easily. Additionally, using thigh high PVC or leather boots look great (if not better!) and you can also add wrist length PVC gloves to finish off your costume. (Long sleeved costume; getting more accurate elbow length gloves wouldn't work)

I wore this for Halloween and it was an instant hit! Those who are fans of DC Comics will instantly recognize Silk's costume. I personally didn't wear the wig with the costume, but it still worked out very well. However, the utility belt is very cheap looking and uncomfortable. Leggings must be worn with boots or they will look very loose on your legs. And if you are self-conscience about any part of your body in any way, you will not have the self-esteem to pull this look off. The material is very thin and form fitting, which I loved.

The costume is a little big. I am a size 10-12 more towards 10 in many things.
I think I should have ordered the med size because I would have like a skin tight fit. The large worked out, as I washed in a gentle cycle cold wash then gentle light drying in the dryer.

It shrunk the costume up a bit to give the sexy sleeker look.
I was still the life of the party as so many complimented me on my sexy silk spectre costume.

I read reviews about this costume before picking my size, and I'm glad I did! I am 5'2" and 125lbs and normally wear a size 7 in jeans and medium sized shirts. So naturally I was thinking of going with a size medium for this costume. But after reading the reviews I decided to go with an XS, and it fit perfectly! But beware!! Your backside is bound to make an appearance, so if you're not into people seeing your bottom, then this costume is not for you! Everyone seems to love the costume, even those of which whom have never seen or heard of Watchmen. Being that I couldn't try this costume on in a store, I'm really happy that the reviews revealed a lot about the true size. I recommend to everyone to know the facts before buying a size online!

This costume was way too big. I am usually a medium so I got a small but it was still baggy. It was designed for someone with a really long torso. Also if you don't like showing too much skin be wary. My butt was out all night because the booty shorts were the only thing that was "small" about it. It's still really sexy thoughif you can deal with those things.

It's a brighter shade of yellow and doesn't look as pleathery. I'm very tall and slender so I had to return and get the x-small. It fits on the bottom but the top part is still too big to be tight-fitting. One of my boot cover's straps broke so I have to fix it. Othwerwise, it looks like Silk Spectre and is easy and fun to wear. :) Just make sure you really research what size you need- go for smaller because they run big and stretch.

it's an AMAZING fit! I am 5'4" about 120lbs and I fit perfectly into a X-Small Adult. I am usually about a small to a medium and the X-Small is perfect. The boot cuffs are a lil difficult to put on and to find heels that they go over well is difficult but just a little tape on the bottom of the boot cuffs made it perfect. The zipper goes all the way up if you want to be conservative. But your butt kinda hangs out of it a little, no stopping that!

I got the size M (10-12) it is rather big still for me and I'm a size 10 in pant and usually wear a large in tops so I thought this would be a perfect fit. It's a little too long of an outfit, not tight fitting at all, should have gotten a Small instead, I think. Overall very cute and easy to wear. Belt, however is kinda small for the waist so didn't wear it.
