Comments about Western Style Brown Mustache:

I wore the black version of this as part of my mexican costume this year. It comes with double sided tape you cut to size to stick to your face. I say it is poor design because the mustache hangs in your mouth and it is hard to drink, as well as the fact that the double sided tape doesn't hold well and the mustache countinuosly falls off your face - I messed with this thing for hours to try to get it just right. First I tried to correct the problem of the 'stache being in my way of drinking by tying it in black rubber bands and sticking it away from my face, then by braiding it and again sticking away from my face. The braids looked pretty good, but alas the sticky tape did not do its job well so the 'stache kept unsticking from the tape, while the tape stayed attached to my face. So then I superglued the 'stache to the tape - which worked well, but the fumes darn near killed me. After about 4 hours of hemmin and hawin with this 'stache (and many beers later - drank thru a straw to avoid getting face mustache hairs in my mouth) I ripped it off and stuck it to my sombrero, opting for the chincy 12-pack of mustaches I had in my purse as a back-up. This was much easier, plus I had the pleasure of sharing mustaches with 11 other lucky halloween party goers. All in all, loved the look of this mustache (once braided and superglued) but would not buy again because it was such a hassle. Go for the cheapo stick on ones! :)
