I really like this product and I am glad I purchased it however, it needs a volume control, way too loud so I had to shut off once all guests arrived. Only has a few sayings, could use more, but I would buy again as they look cool. I placed on pedestals and wrapped fabric around bottoms of busts to give it a finished look...they greeted my guests...

Ordered several weeks in advance of Halloween to be sure I'd get one in stock but had to ship to another location due to travel. Got it and opened 3 days before set-up. Unpacked and tested it. Three of the four eyes on the two bust failed to illuminate. BIG disappointment and too close to Halloween to get replacement. Let the buyer beware.

We are using this in a haunted house and it is great to create a distraction. The sensors in the male bust do not work but they do work in the female bust. There needs to be a remote sensor for motion or sound instead of the step pad.

Great product. As mentioned though, they are very delicate. I had ordered them online since my local Spirit store was sold out. When I received them, they were damaged. Luckily, another Spirit location had them in stock and I was able to exchange them for a working pair.

We have them set up on our fireplace mantle, and the guests that have seen them so far have flipped over them. They make a great addition to our Halloween decorated home.

The only knock I have against them is the limited amount of phrases that they have. Between the two of them, they have three conversations. I would gladly pay additional money for an additional phrases pack, if that were something that could be arranged. Perhaps an idea for the future?

These two are truely interesting and a great addition to any Halloween house or party. It's like they are actually talking to each other. The cord between the two is nice and long, so you don't have to put them next to each other (which I really like). They are a little loud, so I put two layers of duct tape across the speakers. It would be nice if they had a volume control. However, they are perfect for my small Halloween get together. Excellent animated props. Thank you!

Had to take the 1st set (internet bought, exchanged at local store) back because the male bust wouldn't rotate during dialog, which threw off the sensors. When this happened his dialog didn't finish and immediately ran into the next dialogue.

2nd set (exchanged 1st set at local store) again, male bust. Tested out before leaving the store and it worked just fine, but when I took it home... When the rotation went to the left, the head got stuck but tried to push through. Didn't happen. I had to manually push it through to finish the rotation. After a few runs through the dialogue and rotations, it appears to be fine now.

I think it's best to have the busts down around waist level so the sensors can operate properly. I currently have mine on my mantle (away from my 2 yr old) but plan on having them on a low setting table for maximum sensor output/range during Halloween. The sensors appear to have a very short range as the only way I've been able to activate them is by moving inches in front of them. This could change if they are lower. I haven't tested them out this way yet.

Can I just say how much I LOVE these two characters!?! I have wanted these since I first saw them on the webpage and I bought them @ Spirit the first day our store opened. I have them in the dining room and I have some bottles of True Blood between them (LOL). They are VERY loud so it is good you can hear them talk as sometimes props are too quiet. They look very realistic and are very detailed. I felt the price was fair for the quality that they are. They are by far on of my favorite props I have ever owned. I will keep them up year round and I love that the bust part is a solid stone-like material as cheaper versions I have seen are plastic. These two will keep you entertained for sure! Last years model's were way better looking and looked more like actual stone and not these clay-cartooney looking ones. I believe SAM's club had them last year and were half the cost as well

I bought these last year and couldnt resist...as they reminded me of a prop from the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. My idea was to put each statue on a pillar in front of my door for tricker treaters. As it looked incredible at night. But come to find out that the props dont do that well or really work at all outside in the dark. Not even loud sound or motion detection would trigger there affects :-(. So my suggestion would be to arrange them inside as they seem to work better indoors

If this item had a volume control it would be perfect in any setting. I put them on my fireplace mantel and it goes off everytime I have company. Throws them off because it takes a moment to realize these lifelike busts are talking to you. Hilarious!

This is an awesome decoration. I was very happy when I got them and pulled them out of the box.
I will say that I did have a lot of styrofoam from the packaging stick to the busts. I had to clean them off pretty well. I think when I box them up after halloween I will bubble wrap them instead of put them back in the styrofoam, only becuase I don't want more of it to stick to the busts. After a year of sitting i don't know how badly, if at all, it will stick to them.

I have been collecting halloween decorations for 8 years to slowly build my neighborhood haunt and these bust are AMAZING !!!!! Of all the items I own, they are in my top 5. I received them today and I have been playing with them since I hooked them up. The body is very solid and the heads are a rubbery material that allows them to talk and move very easily.You would never know that the top and bottom are made up of different materials, they match flawlessly. The size is also great, some of the other bust I own are to small, these are perfect! They looked great in the video but the are even better in person. They are so perfect that after Halloween they will be placed on my mantel for the rest of the year. It's also nice that they are not Halloween specific, there are no spiders crawling on them etc. The kids are going to LOVE these, spooky without being scary! trick or treat

I like to trick out my whole house so that all decorations come together for an overall real haunted house feel. These will go in my vampire-themed dining room. I actually had 2 static vampire busts that were smaller, but thought these were cool enough that I went ahead and got them. When I initially set them up, it seemed like the woman wasn't working at all - not moving or talking. It turned out that I just had them a little too close together, so if yours isn't working right, experiment with their distance from each other.

I had my eye on these two spooky vampire duo a while before they actually were released. The voice is spooky and they are a lot of fun to listen to them both chat back and forth. Their mouths both move, their eyes flash and they move their heads from side to side as they talk back and forth to eachother. These make great home decor during the fall/Halloween season or all year round to look at. These are great to have around a entryway area or in a living room near a piece of art on the wall.

Helpful advice with prop care. Animated props are made to last for years as long as you follow a few guidelines. DO NOT EVER try to stop a moving prop from doing it's thing. If a prop is trying to talk, DO NOT try and grab the moving parts or try to stop the head from turning as this will shorten the life of your Halloween prop and it will break soon if not respected.

Second advice... These props are made to be enjoyed however they need to have a rest every so often as well. If your like me and you like to keep your props on display year around just for looks, unplug or shut them off often. DO NOT use them day in and day out as this will wear on them after constant use. Moving parts in anything will wear out after a long while. These are well made but use common sense, respect and treat your Halloween props with care and they will give you many years of enjoyment.

Overall I give the Talking Bust Props 5 Stars!
