I was happy that this was a thicker plastic - which I needed because I didn't use for jello. I made a meat hand - creation which I found on the Not Martha website. The mold was sturdy enough to mold a pound and a half of meatloaf mix. I sprayed the mold and the raw meat slid right out for the baking process. It worked perfectly - my kids loved the creepy creation. Glad I made the purchase - which arrived sooner than expected. Thanks!

I had heard the idea of using disposable gloves to make Knox Blocks/Jigglers style gelatin hands, but this product makes it much easier.
To make 2 hands, I mixed 2 each of lemon and orange Jello powder in the Jigglers recipe on the side of the box, but this turned out too orange to be skin-colored. Next time, I will use 3 lemon and 1 orange to make the hands lighter in color.
Do not fill the mold completely. Only fill it up to the top edge of the fingers.
In order to fill it, you will need to prop up one side of the mold underneath the fingers in order to make it sit level. An empty Jello cardboard box is the right size to put underneath the mold before you pour the liquid gelatin into it. After you pour the liquid, then transport the mold along with the Jello box into the fridge so it can harder while sitting level.
After the hand is hardened, run hot water over the underside side of the mold, then slide a paring knife along the edge of the mold to loosen the Jiggler. It comes out easily. Flip it out onto your hand and then place it on a plate or tray.
When I first saw the mold, I thought it looked too big to be a human hand, but after I made them, multiple party guests asked if my husband's hands were used to make them. They found it convincing!
If you do not have time to make 2 hands in a row, I recommend buying 2 molds so you can make both hands at once.

I cater our theatre's annual Halloween party and am always looking for something unique and different yet realistic. This item did not disappoint! A picture is worth a thousand words so if you'd like to see a more life-like result using this mold (v/s the green one shown on the product page), you are welcome to view the one I made using this mold last Halloween:[@]
