The witch is great! The quality and attention to detail were a amazing. She was quite a hit at our Halloween party and with the kids trick or treating.

Love this witch. She is awesome!! My grandkids love her. We saw her at the Spirit store and I had to have her. She makes a wonderful addition to our Halloween decorations. The only thing I am not crazy about is the music everytime she speaks. I would cut that off if I could, otherwise she is perfect!

I wish everyone could see this wonderful witch in my 1903 victorian home. She will be greeting my guests as well as my trick or treaters. As a collector of the wicked witch,this is number one, the ultimate. She is very well made, especially her dress. I did press her cloths before I put them on her, she looks fantastic! She says all the sayings everyone loved from the movie. What a great tribute to Margaret Hamilton, she sounds just like her. Right now I have her standing in front of my picture window, well lit,for everyone to see. Getting ready for the big day, Halloween.

While it's easy fairly easy to assemble, as a prop builder, it really needs an aux input, as other Gemmys have, to be able to input your own lines (like recorded from the movie). The head, while just resembling Margaret Hamilton.. from a distance.. isnt very accurate. The eyes did not line up with the holes in the mask making it look very odd. The voice, while also distantly resembling Magaret Hamiloton's, just isnt close enough. Hair is wrong (black/silver, not brown. Arms could be more poseable (the form wire), while "springy", is very stiff. The jaw motor is terrible at moving with any accuracy to the dialog. It should use an actual servo, faster reacting, not a motor working against a spring.

Overall, from a display perspective, is it unique? A definate Yes. If you want a good movie prop to "make your yard".. this also is good (as long as the face is made well, see eyes comment). If you have ideas of modding it in any way, so far, this is not a candidate.

I'm using her as a part of my annual "yard haunt". She will be joined by several other animatronics, but is--by far, the best one I've owned to date. Her dearly departed sister will be represented by another SOH product: striped stocking legs and ruby slippers, which we will place beneath a large straw haybale near the Wicked Witch of the West.

Looks real, lots of sound effects, and great value. Try and follow the poor instructions carefully. Once it was put together though I was very pleased. This is my fifth and probably greatest animatronic.

The Wicked Witch is on display in my Land of Oz Museum near a blanket that displays the Wicked Witch of the West too. She will talk to the visitors while they walk by her and hopefully be impressed with all the things she can do.

When I saw the witch on Spirit's website, I knew I had to have her!! The pictures and videos don't do her justice. Everyone who has seen her can't believe how life-like she is. (People actually thought the pictures and video I posted were of me dressed up!) Definitely one of the best props in my collection. She might have to stay out past halloween...........

As soon as I saw this on the website, I had to have it. I love decorating my front yard for the kids. Ps adults love it to. People drive by n stop n look at my house every Halloween. This wicked witch is new to my decor and a new member of my witch bunch. She looks like the movie witch. I just wish her broom was more decorated. It's missing a lot of the design of the broom. Other than that, I really love this witch. Def a collectors piece:)

What a remarkable product! I purchased this Wicked Witch as a devoted Halloween and Wizard of Oz fan, and was very pleased! The promo video doesn't include all of her sayings - she also says: "Curses, somebody always helps that girl!", "All in good time, my little pretty, all in good time!", "Who would've thought a good little girl like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness", and the infamous "I'm Melting, melting!" in addition to the phrases represented in the video!
I was most impressed with the quality of this prop - steel frame with a high density plastic body, and padded arms with a very thick wire frame that can make her arms posed if worked with. Her voice is very close to Margaret Hamilton's and her eyes are very lifelike. Her costume is also very well made and is comparable to a theatrical quality costume.
The only reason I gave her an "incomplete" is that her broom is not completely screen accurate, her hair is grey (in the film she has brown hair) and she does not carry a satchel as she does in the film. Her broom is removable, however - so if you want her to hold a different one, or not carry a broom at all that is an option. She also has a sensitive sensor and she isn't too loud or too quiet - she's just right!
Regardless of my little nitpicks this is the best quality prop I own and Gemmy outdid themselves! If you're a little iffy about purchasing this prop, just do it! Everyone loves the Wizard of Oz and she is sure to be stunning to all ages!

I am a collector of life size animatronics, this one is sure to become a valued collectible. The Wizard of OZ has a huge cult following and this really nails the likeness of the wicked witch. Very good quality and excellent audio including many of the witches evil comments. I recommend this to anyone interested in owning a classic :)

The Wicked Witch of the West is really something to see. The pictures don't do the Witch justice in my opinion. She's actually pretty scary looking. From the profile she even has that creepy lurch. Her broom is a decent build but the straw falls out very easily. If you're on the fence about if you should get it or if she's even scary enough for Halloween.... JUST DO IT! She's amazing.
