Bought this hoping the motion sensor would activate as trick-or-treaters approached the candy bowl. I had to snap my fingers directly in front of the face to get it to activate. Since I was planning to sit outside in costume to scare anyway, I found a fix that at least worked for me. There is a "try me" switch on the box that plugs into the bottom of the battery compartment. Save this! It's only about 2 feet long and that was kind of useless. I took an old AC adaptor, cut the wire and spliced it into the wire that came with the ghost. I now had over 6 feet and simply held it in my hand to trigger when needed. The scariest part of this is the fact you can see the teeth when the face pops out. I recommend if you're able to use the switch. Otherwise, the sensor is useless and not worth the buy.
