My 9 yr old used this for Halloween. My 11 yr old went in the full body child Gorilla costume we'd purchased another time. The chimpanzee mask squeezed a little around the bridge of the nose, but not too bad. It can get very hot and sweaty in there and they needed periodic breaks. The gloves were great because as opposed to the gorilla costume, they had fabric linings rather than plastic that made my gorilla boy's hands sweat profusely. The chimpanzee is a little more impish than the gorilla which could be scary to some young children. The boys went to a large trick-or-treat event downtown and were a total hit! People were so impressed with their costumes they continually pointed and commented everywhere we went. Young children came up to touch them like a mascot at a ball game! We were asked 7 (seven!) different times if people could take their pictures with the boys! Yes, they had their monkey walks, made some noises, and my gorilla frequently carried my chimpanzee around on his shoulders, so the antics may have helped, but largely the attention was due to the high quality of these costumes. My son who has been a gorilla for 3 years running, now after seeing this costume wants to be a chimpanzee next year. You can't go wrong with this costume. It's a Halloween Hit!

Ordered this for my 8 year old son for our circus-themed Halloween porch. He got more compliments and requests for pictures than anyone! Most people thought he was a prop until he moved... very realistic. Sizing was a bit large, especially the "feet" which made walking tedious. And the costume had a bit of a plastic odor. Tip: wear a black shirt underneath since the back ties closed and can pull open to reveal clothes below.
