I bought the reaper for a spook house. It was smaller than expected (material wise). When I set it up the reaper would stand up but the lights and the sound wouldn't work. Not sure what to do with it now.

Bought this to use in my Haunted Garage. Ended up being a good prop to scare people as they didn't expect it. Sound activation didn't work well, unless it was a loud clap. Used a combination of a footpad and remote control. Definte bonus to have the remote control and also ability to use a footpad at the same time.

This is a good buy because for [$] it is fun and cheesy. I put mine on a table so when he (she?) rises it is much taller than on the floor/ground. I also flanked him with some blacklight posters because his skull is lit up with brightly colored LEDs that go well with them. Not really that scary just carnival fun. Would go well with clowns too I think even tho he says "Welcome to my graveyard" followed by a crow cawing and some earsplitting tones.

I saw this at the store, then on-line and decided to try it. It works great and my 5 yr old makes me cover it up in the house! (the remote is a nice feature, too). I know it will go great with our other decorations.

I read the reviews and knew its size already. But had a coffin built for the yard and needed something quick to go into it.Last minute decision go with the reaper.Unfortunately the sound does'nt come on at all, total silence.The 6v. cord does'nt even work.Will send it back or just put it on the side of the yard. Must have gotten a lemon...

1st one was a dud. I emailed Spirit and 2 days later had a brand new one. The remote is by far the best feature. Wait till the little Halloweeners are right where you want them, then BAM.
I'm definitely a Spirit customer for life.

Nice decoration and will definitely spook the unsuspecting. It could use a broad or more heavy base to keep it from bouncing upon release. Perhaps even some metal stakes or spikes be supplied to stake to ground. Also, to protect electrical connections, a plastic cover to go on top of base plate with some form of water tight or water resistant seal.

Bad wiring. Easily put together but sound was garbled and very low volume. Took it back to the first store and put it together to show the clerk what was wrong. Store didn't have a replacement (online only order). Took it to second store, put it together, then the sound worked fine but the spring/motor didn't work. Never tried the remote.

This scared the stuff out of my dogs and myself while putting it together, when I accidentally set it off.
It does appear to need some kind of support attached to the stand. I did not try the water filled bags yet. But think it would be better with wood attached platform.

Very dissapointed with this one! Loved it at first, worked great and sounded great. After one day of LIGHT rain, it does not work any longer. Have been working on it, changed batteries, made sue all were dry ect... Remote setting still doesn't work, and the sound isn't working either.
I really did like this when I first got it, wish it wasn't having problems. The price is perfect too. I am going to try buying another to see if I can get one to work for the kids coming over.

This was put inside a fabric coffin to scare ppl as they came to my house. The sounds and the pop up nature of this was great. The fact that this was sound activated was nice as I didn't have to worry about turning it on every time. It was very lightweight so it was easy to move around. The sound track was off after about 25 uses so it was playing at the wrong time. The sound activation broke after about 3 days and the remote died about 3 days after that. Thankfully my neighbourhood Spirit store took him back and got the AV guy to fix him. The only thing that make this hard to use is that you need to have sand bags under the cape so that it doesn't jump all over the lawn, so that it stays in one place.

I had to build a coffin and anchor it down, otherwise it was not very supportive on it's own. Directions called for using sand bags to anchor down. Using this as a prop for a Halloween scare night for our HOA. Tested it on adults, men and women and it was such a shock it sent many running. LOVE IT!!!

We are using this product for a graveyard setting. This thing has a good amount of spring action. However, it is pretty short at about 3 ft tall. We correct that problem by achoring it onto a table. Unless you are trying to only scare small children, I suggest finding a way to safely add some height by lifting the base.

I put this thing together and it is pretty awesome. I am not to keen on the plat form it is on as it rockets itself all over the place and the bags you can fill with sand to put on it, ya don't work. I actually mounted to a board a bit bigger than the platform itself and now works very very well.
We love it and actually returned something I bought on line at the store and bough 2 more graveyard animation props.
