I'm a size 16/18 and this barely fit me...so no it does not fit up to size 22. The hat seemed to be a childs size and not authentic...I was able to find a real sailors hat at the [@] :) which was perfect. I received many compliments and was overall happy with this costume.

I am a size 18-20 and this fit perfect. The skirt isn't too short, and other than some tights, you wouldn't necessarily need anything underneath. I tried it with a pettycoat and it was too poofy and didn't look right.

The hat is a bit off, but nothing you can't deal with.

I just ordered this online because it was online only and checked many sites for the measurements of this costume and they were all wrong :/ I'm having to return it because it fits like a size 12 not 16-24 I'm a size 18 and the skirt doesn't even go past my bottom and barely past the top of my underwear, I bought it for school and it's completely against dress code. I'm very disappointed. Also the hat is already coming unraveled. The dress is a good material but this costume fits my 13 year old sister perfectly and she's a size 10/12. And my invoice was completely messed up and I ended up having to call to get a new copy because the store wouldn't accept the messed up one that came with the package.

The costume is cute but I really don't see it fitting up to a size 22 like it says (size 16-22) I'm a size 18 and it's almost snug. The hat is very cheaply made and doesn't fit well. Luckily I have a left-over one from my times in the Navy that I can wear.

The sailor outfit fit well and was very comfortable. My only issue was the thin material, which was somewhat see threw. Other wise it was cute and classy.
