This is by far the best black light I have ever purchased. I have tried the individual bulbs, but they don't work very well. This one actually makes decor glow in the dark unlike the individual bulbs. It lights up the whole room. I plan to use it outside on Halloween, but have not yet tried it outside, so I don't know if it attracts bugs.

This was simply a 48-inch black light without the floor fixture that turns it into a free-standing lamp... but the illumination from the item is very strong. When affixed to a wall it casts quite a lengthy stretch of light over glow-in-the-dark items. Wonderful for Halloween parties and haunted houses... instant atmosphere!

This is a great light for the money. The only con is that when used outside, it attracts waaaaay too many bugs.
