Using the Glow-in-the-Dark Horror Makeup Kit

Supplies:

  • From the Glow-in-the-Dark Horror Makeup Kit use the makeup tray colors black and red.
  • Spirit gum and remover from a Reel F/X Kit
  • Hand sanitizer, toner or face cleanser.
  • No-color or translucent face powder
  • Powder brush
  • Sponge
  • Small artist painting brush
  • Toothpick
  • Vaseline
  • Tissue paper
  • Moisturizer (not included)

Step 1:

Clean hands and make sure skin area is clean, use toner. Create texture in your sponge by ripping little pieces out, to make it look like a piece of rock.

Step 3:

Use your textured sponge and apply the red from the makeup tray to the skin.

Step 4:

Repeat Step 3 and apply black.

Step 5:

Then take your tissue (if 2 ply, separate it to 1 ply) and rip it so there are no straight edges, with spirit gum, glue the tissue down over the area where you have colored.

Step 6:

With your brush mix black from the makeup tray with very little moisturizer and apply around your piece and edges, anywhere you want to create the deep charred look.

Step 7:

With your sponge, go over in red to cover any white tissue that is showing.

Step 8:

With your toothpick start ripping the glued down tissue to create bubbly skin effect if any regular skin shows fill in with some black (use brush).

Step 9:

Take your fake blood put some on the sponge and tap it over the entire piece.

Step 10:

Fill in any of the open holes (wounds) with blood and put in a little Vaseline to create a puss look.

Removal:

Gently use Spirit Gum Remover and wash with soap and warm water.
